"perfect pants." 05/03/12
the fabric seems to be quite durable and will withstand some punishment. I will get a lot of mileage out of these this summer. i bought them for bike commuting, and have not been let down. I espcially enjoy the drop in rear pockets. They are very handy!!
"these shorts are PANTS!!! and these pants are SHORTS" 04/03/12
These are great. I commute by bike to work, and not only do the legs zip on while i am in the office, but the pants dry quickly if i get a little too warm!!! I recommend these pants fully. i would live in them if i could. I pretty much do!
"great pair of outdoor adventure pant" 04/02/12
So I got these pants in the mail and first impression was impressed with the material and size. The material was extremely water repellent and the size was true to what manufacturer and moosejaw claimed. So after a day of casual wear decided it was time to see how they really stood up so I took them through a local non commercial cave and put them through it all mud water jagged rocks and even a little amatuer mini climb. They stood up great and the zipped that runs up the leg makes it amazing for converting with boots on. Overall a great buy great price great pant.highly recommend
"Great pair of hiking pants that are both comfortable and perform well!" 04/01/12
I researched several brands of hiking pants and finally settled on Mesa convertibles. They are very comfortable and Mountain Hardwear always produces high-quality equipment. Sizing is very close to true. I wear 36/34 pants and I went back and forth between regular length and long length...I chose the long length and I am glad I did. They are just long enough.
"great convertible pants" 11/26/11
These pants are great, I have stopped carrying another pair of waterproof pants becase the DWR finish works so well at repelling water. The zippers work great at taking off and putting on the legs when going from pants to shorts or vise versa. The low-profile belt is also very comfortable under a heavy pack on multple day hikes.
"Great Pants! Straight leg fit." 08/26/11
Love the pants. Wear 36/34 jeans and Large Long fits great. These seem very well made and a little tighter than most convertible pants which seem to be relaxed fit. Fit very similar to levis straight leg.
"THESE ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 06/13/11
These are great. They're So comfortable and the dry realativley quickly. The size guide is exelent but they give or take 1-2 cm in the waist, which is great. They are tough, I've had mine for around a year and they aren't scratched or worn. So I encourage people to get a pair!!!
"Comfortable and Functional Pants!!!" 04/04/11
These pants are awsome! The fit is true to size, trim, but not tight and they are very easy to move and bend in. All the zippers work well and aren't difficult to operate. They shed light rain and wind, are light weight, and extremely durable. I do alot of off trail and these are holding up great so far. These pants also wear well under a pack belt. Great pair of pants.
"Nice pants for the casual hiker!" 03/11/11
I like the pants, but the material just did not hold up for scrambling over rocks. The 1st time I wore them on a scrambling hike I got lots of tears in the seat and knees. Maybe they can start selling patch material with these.
