"Great Outdoor Pant" 05/26/13
Used these pants in the Arizona desert and in the Colorado mountains, and they have been great in the heat and the colder environs. They breathe well and the gussetted crotch is definitely welcomed. These do run a little slim it seems - I purchased a large but the thigh area is a tad bit tighter in the Mesa pant than other pants I have from the North Face; however, the Mesa pants are still comfortable. One great thing about the pant is the micro fleece waistline - comes in really handy if your shirt pops out during movement. They are also a tad long but for me that is not an issue.
"Quality pants that are true to size" 12/20/12
These pants have a quality feel to them, and are sized pretty true. The pocket placement is well thought-out for trekking with a pack, the the styling is moderate enough to wear around town. I can't speak to the durability or drying properties just yet, but I am optimistic that they will do well.
"Great Pants!" 07/17/12
I will definately be getting more of these pants. The fit is perfect. I am 6'3 225 lbs and I got the XL 34" inseam. They fit perfectly! Also, the zipper on the leg is great for taking off the pants with boots on without having to try and juggle taking off each boot without getting your socks a mess. Only complaint is that the zipper for taking off the bottoms gets stuck easy when putting back on, other than that great product.
"perfect pants." 05/03/12
the fabric seems to be quite durable and will withstand some punishment. I will get a lot of mileage out of these this summer. i bought them for bike commuting, and have not been let down. I espcially enjoy the drop in rear pockets. They are very handy!!
"these shorts are PANTS!!! and these pants are SHORTS" 04/03/12
These are great. I commute by bike to work, and not only do the legs zip on while i am in the office, but the pants dry quickly if i get a little too warm!!! I recommend these pants fully. i would live in them if i could. I pretty much do!
"great pair of outdoor adventure pant" 04/02/12
So I got these pants in the mail and first impression was impressed with the material and size. The material was extremely water repellent and the size was true to what manufacturer and moosejaw claimed. So after a day of casual wear decided it was time to see how they really stood up so I took them through a local non commercial cave and put them through it all mud water jagged rocks and even a little amatuer mini climb. They stood up great and the zipped that runs up the leg makes it amazing for converting with boots on. Overall a great buy great price great pant.highly recommend
"Great pair of hiking pants that are both comfortable and perform well!" 04/01/12
I researched several brands of hiking pants and finally settled on Mesa convertibles. They are very comfortable and Mountain Hardwear always produces high-quality equipment. Sizing is very close to true. I wear 36/34 pants and I went back and forth between regular length and long length...I chose the long length and I am glad I did. They are just long enough.
"great convertible pants" 11/26/11
These pants are great, I have stopped carrying another pair of waterproof pants becase the DWR finish works so well at repelling water. The zippers work great at taking off and putting on the legs when going from pants to shorts or vise versa. The low-profile belt is also very comfortable under a heavy pack on multple day hikes.
"THESE ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 06/13/11
These are great. They're So comfortable and the dry realativley quickly. The size guide is exelent but they give or take 1-2 cm in the waist, which is great. They are tough, I've had mine for around a year and they aren't scratched or worn. So I encourage people to get a pair!!!
