Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm, but too short Being new to Northeast winters I knew I needed to get a warm everyday jacket and wanted to stick with MH as they have always done right in my eyes. I received this jacket and took it outside in December and wasn't very comfortable as far as warmth goes. My problem is that the jacket is too short, barely making it past my belt. So anytime I bend over or reach for something I get a shot of cold air on my lower back. I am 6'2" and ordered a large, so it could just be that it is the wrong jacket for my body type. Guess that is one of the downfalls of ordering online. ,,,,Bottom line, I will be returning this jacket as I found a Marmot jacket that is a better fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not best quality I bought this jacket because of the red color and the inexpensive price tag. As soon as I unpacket the jakcet I sort of felt that it wasn't high quality. The stitches are not nice and the shoulder/arm/neck fabric has a very coarse feel to it. The jacket is not as warm as I was hoping for: I have a fibre insulated jacket - and I thought this jacket was a major step up insulation wise. It is not. I have now been wearing the jacket for approx 3 months and recently one of the INSIDE seams in the left arm has ruptured (approx 1 inch) and so I had downs everywhere when I took the jacket off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality jacket! Jacket is awesome quality and very warm, as to be expected with a down jacket. I picked this jacket over the NF jackets for one main reason...ATTENTION TO DETAIL! At this price point I could not find a NF jacket that even came close. The velcro cuffs for sinching down to avoid drafts and micro-fleece lining around the collar were huge comfort issues for me. NF jackets only had the elastic cuffs, which will loosen over time and no liner in the collar. The exterior chest pocket is one of my favorites as well, so I'm partial to MH.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket he Mountain Hardwear Men’s Nitrous Down Jacket provides the lightweight insulation of 800-fill down in a low-bulk package suited for nearly any day in the hills. You can wear the Nitrous Down Jacket over your shell to stay warm on a rest break, or use it as a mid layer in seriously cold conditions. Plus, this Mountain Hardwear jacket makes a really nice change from your hoody when you head downtown in the snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm jacket The jacket is very warm and soft. I use it on hikes in the cold weather and then as a pillow in my sleeping bag. Great jacket and is great to wear around town. I like this jacket better than most puffy style jacket because the outside material seems to be tougher than the other brands. I feel like I am going to rip the other jackets because the material is almost too soft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great down jacket I always hesitate to choose Mountain hardwear hunker down jacket or the north face nuptse2 down jacket,I'm glad I chose the Hunker,I was a thin man,5'11 150lbs,I chose the medium,Length right,But a little loose. If I choose to small, length should be short,Is a very worth buying down jacket.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! This is a great jacket for the price. Fantastic warmth to weight ratio. This jacket has gotten me through many cold Wisconsin winters. The only down side is that the outside material is not that durable, tore a hole in the arm on a tree. Other than that this jacket is awesome

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Agree with other review. Cheap quality. Stitching started fraying early and the jacket has just a cheap thin layer that easily rips. I bump into a tree and tore a hole in it. Disappointed with this product.
