Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toasty and hardy, but a little short in the fingers (if you know what I'm saying). These gloves look cool, and they're pretty warm. I've never been disappointed by the construction of Mountain Hardwear gear (they're made of nuts), so I don't suspect I'll be disappointed with these either.,,,,Sadly, the length of the fingers is a little short for me. My hands aren't particularly large, but apparently they're not particularly medium either. It's not a deal breaker, but it will mean these don't become my favorite gloves ever.,,,,If you're between sizes, maybe go for the larger size. That might not be right either, but between the two of us we can warn people effectively in either case.
