"Definitely a great jacket"  03/07/12

I have only one complain about this jacket. The material over the chest pocket seems somehow a bit less durable than the rest of the jacket. I did have a small tear after only one use while rock climbing though it was from squirming through an off-width. Several pitches up as the wind gusted around 35mph and light spitting snow I was still comfortable with this jacket. Oh, the pit zips are a must have!

"Everyone should own it!!"  11/13/11

With so many jackets out there, it can be a challenge to chose the right one before you head out. The Dragon jacket expertly combines warmth, wind resistance, protection from the elements, and is highly durable. This is the most versatile jacket out there! Whether I'm going backpacking, rock climbing, or ice climbing, if this jacket isn't in my pack, it's because I'm wearing it!

"Good for wind, light rain, and cool temps; layer for added protection."  06/10/11

Let's start with the basics. I'm a 5'9" dude with a slim build and the medium fits me well, but is a bit bulky under the arms. Maybe I just need to work on my lats. This jacket protects very well from the wind and beads light to moderate rain with no problem. I like to think that I look pretty good in it too. The hood is probably the best feature -- it's awesome. Only complaints are that it's a bit itchy to the bare skin. Be aware that this jacket is not very stretchy, and it's a shell. If it's chilly outside you'll want some layers underneath. Typical MHW fit that's a bit short for harness action. I'd recommend it if this all sounds good to you.

"Don't Leave Home Without It"  04/23/11

I've had this jacket for 18 months and I love it. Whether I'm skiing, climbing, hiking in the mountains or on the trail this jacket comes with. It's crazy windproof and surprisingly water resistant for a soft shell. I got caught in a torrential downpour a few days ago for more than an hour and though the shell was wet, not a drop came through. It's a slim fit but there's plenty of room for layering. In the winter, I layer with Patagonia's nano puff and couldn't be happier. I've tried 5 or 6 other soft shells, but none have come close to matching the dragon. Stop reading and buy!!!

"Awsome Jacket!!!!"  04/04/11

This is the best softshell I've ever owned. It is light weight, totally windproof, is surprisingly waterproof (for a softshell), and extremely comfortable. It works flawlessly as a protective layer. The fit is athletic and trim, but leaves some room for layers. It breathes well, and functions in a wide range of temperature and weather situations, making it a valualble piece of gear. I've read some reviews that were critical of the hood, but I have not had any problems with it. The hood is fully adjustable and moves with your head without blocking vision. Fits well, with and without a helmet.

"My go-to jacket"  03/19/11

I love this jacket and use it for all kinds of outdoor adventures such as climbing and snowshoeing. Fit is great and feels nice against the skin. Sheds water almost as well as a full-blown rain jacket but breathes much better and keeps the wind off with the help of Windstopper. I have no complaints at all about the Dragon, it's everything I could ask for.. Get it, you'll love it

"You won't be sorry."  02/22/11

What: climbing/hiking. Where: NH;VT;WA. Who: 6'0", 170 lbs (prefer "fitted" not "painted-on") Large fit well, no baggy sides or sleeves, enough room for a light insulating layer, great thumb loops, fabric stretch, and waist cinch kept the jacket in place. Comfortable fabric. Solid in light&heavy snow; ignored winds of 30+ mph. Nice warmth and amazing breathability. Bottom line: you won't really make up your mind staring at the screen… buy it, try it out. You won't be sorry.

"The Absolute Best Softhell EVER!!"  02/12/11

I've used many soft shells over the years and nothing come close to the dragon jacket when you're up high in the mountains. Breathes well with generous pit zips and is not very bulky. A bit of a slim fit which means it stays close to your body to keep the heat in. I'll never wear another soft shell!

"The Best Soft Shell of its Kind"  02/01/11

Have only owned it for a few weeks, but it has performed to my expectations (as all other Mountain Hardwear jackets I own) here's the breakdown:**Super Light**Total Wind Proof**I love the "hand warmer" sleeve hole thing. It makes a big difference **Perfect for Layering, and not so cold days at the slopesNot my technical Jacket of choice, but definitely the good-all-around jacket
