"There isn't a better pair of pants out there." 09/22/11
I've been hunting around for a decent pair of waterproof shell pants and finally settled on the Cohesion. I was hesitant about what size to get, I'm 6' 1", 175 lbs and wear a 32x34-34x34 pant. I went with the large, figuring if I wanted to wear them over another pair that they'd be big enough. The fit is excellent. The built-in adjustable belt along with stretch waist gives plenty of room to fit over another pair of pants, yet tighten down more than enough to wear comfortable alone. I love them. These will be my go to pants when hiking the Adirondack 46 this winter. Can't beat the price either! Thanks Moosejaw!
"good stretch, keeps the water out and breaths rather well" 09/18/11
obviously my choice when trekking is not to wear rain gear. no matter how breathable they say the material is, you end up with the wet clammy feel. but when its pouring outside or the wind is ripping, I don't mind putting these babys on. they are lightweight and fit over pants or shorts easily, they stretch without resistance and they breath admirably. best of all they do their job, wind is stopped in its tracks and water cant get in. so for a rain pant shell these do what they are supposed to.

I am very happy with these. I'm 6'2" 200lbs 34" waste, so I first tried the large. These were perfect IF I wasn't going to wear them over other pants. So I sent back and got the XL. They're NOT overly baggy. Perfect. The 3/4 side zips are sweet. Zipped open I could put these on over boots and pants in seconds. Tested them in 3 hours of cold wind-driven rain, sitting,standing, and walking....and watched the drops bounce off. Everything about them is quality. They'll be perfect for backpacking in the Rockies. Light, packable, comfy, dry.
