"Great Jacket!" 02/24/12
First of all I Mountain Hardware has never let me down with any of their gear and this jacket is no exception. It makes for a great shell in winter camping or even just a a rain jacket on runs or hikes. It has four zipper's you can open to increase air flow in the jacket if you start to sweat. Great jacket and ill be using it for years and years to come
"Awesome Shell Jacket" 01/06/12
I've used this jacket in many situations from snowboarding to backpacking to a simple windy afternoon stroll. It performs very well! It is fairly light weight and compresses small. It's a great rain jacket, but can do much more including being a winter shell instead of a more expensive goretex one. I love the sealing on the pockets and the hood is nice with its visor. The pit zips are also excellent as are the wrist cuffs and draw cord waist.
"BEST Rainshell EVER. . ." 05/04/11
I took this with me on a 12 day trek in the Sangre de Cristo mountains of northeastern New Mexico, and it stood up to all of the two o'clock showers/hail that came upon me. Its Conduit DT shell has a great mix of water resistance, and EXCEPTIONAL breathability. I wear it every time I see a dark cloud in the sky.
"I would find this as a great all-around hard shell for anyone who wants to stay dry." 05/04/11
I took this on a fourteen day trek in the Sangre de Cristos of northeastern New Mexico, and it held up exceptionally during all of two o'clock showers/hail that came through over the peaks. Its Conduit DT shell blocks all precipitation and lets out all perspiration, whick made me quite happy after many eight mile days. Great Jacket!
"NECESSITY" 02/10/11
I got this coat for Christmas this past year and it has been through the Oklahoma Ice/thunder snow storm, rain and windy days. This is the first mountain hardware piece of apparel I own and will not be the last. This is a very reliable and durable coat and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!!!
"great light weight jacket" 01/25/11
was given this jacket as a gift and love it. light weight so it doesnt get toohot but enough coverage that when the temp goes down i still stay warm. i have the mens jacket so its definatly long enough to cover my back when i ride my bick in the rain. would recomend this jacket to everyone.
"Great Ultra-light shell with a ton of finishing touches" 11/21/10
I bought this jacket a year ago on sale. I've worn it on runs in the winter, in the rain on commutes and through short bushwacks to climbs and in my climbing pack as a wind shell. While its only a 2.5 layer material it hasn't torn or snagged so far. I haven't thrown crazy armbars in off-widths with it but I haven't babied it either. The stretch panels in the back allow a great range of motion. Its lightweight and packs down small. I love the two hood pulls and they let you get the perfect fit over a helmet or a ball cap. My one concern is that small zippers were used in the pit-zips. I'm not sure how well these are going to open and close when I wear this up Mt. Washington this winter.
"Perfect shell" 06/21/10
After having some pretty wet experiences with a couple other "waterproof" lightweight shells I picked up the MH Cohesion jacket. This thing blows everything else I've tried. It stays completely dry, and the inside fabric is comfortable even with just a t-shirt on underneath. I'm a bit tall at 6'3" and sizing of the large was spot on for me - not too tight with a fleece on underneath, and not too loose without. I also dig the flap that lets you roll up the hood and keep it out of the way when you don't need it, preventing the annoying water build up in the hood that occurs on other jackets when you forget to tuck them in.
"A great light-weight jacket to have in your pack, affordable and fits great!" 04/24/10
I love this jacket! It is very light-weight and water-resistant, as well as breathable. For the price, you can't beat the quality of this jacket. Although it provides great protection against the wind,(and living on the South shore of Lake Superior I experience a lot of (cold) wind on a regular basis), I use it more for rain protection. It is ideal for packing in a pack, as it is very light and rolls up very small taking up practically no space. I am 6ft. and 165lbs. and have the Large, which is slightly baggy around the waist, so I can layer underneath. I have worn it very frequently and often through rough terrain, and haven't even seen any minor abrasion or tears. I love this jacket!
