"Great jacket if you're really skinny" 02/28/12
I ordered this jacket in black and sapphire because I wasn't sure I'd like the sapphire. I liked both very much, but the jacket was way too tight for me in the armpit area. I'm 5'11", 150-160lbs with an athletic build, but certainly not super muscular. I was looking for a jacket I could just wear for everyday use so wasn't looking to use it for outdoorsy activities. Even with a button down shirt underneath this jacket was really tight in the pits. I got the medium as that's what I usually wear. I thought about trying the large, but figured it would be too big elsewhere. If the arm holes were just a little bigger it would be the perfect jacket. Loved the look and material.
"Good Jacked With Many Uses" 01/15/12
This is one of my favorite soft shells. I wear it everyday to work and around town as it is both functional and stylish. I also use it as a layer when I go backpacking. The pockets are in good locations in relation to where the straps are on my pack. It is both wind resistant and water resistant. Make sure you realize the difference between between "resistant" and "proof" This jacket will not keep you completely dry in a storm and will not block wind like a rain jacket. All of that said, Mountain Hardware hit a home run with this one.
"I sent it back" 01/14/12
I always wear a medium and love Mountain Hardware. The jacket is quite stylish and the material is great as expected. It was WAY too snug in the armpits and I could not wear more than a t- shirt under it but it was still too tight. I was most disappointed!
