"The "Summit" of big down parkas!"  09/13/11

Of all of my Mountain Hardwear pieces, perhaps my favorite is then Absolute Zero Parka. Yes, it might not be the most used piece but when it is needed nothing else can compete. It is warm in the coldest conditions. And it is not just for the super-frigid environments, I often wear it in "normal" cold conditions when I am mostly sitting (looking at stars). A jacket that is much too warm when moving about is perfect when sitting for hours at a time. The jacket is very well-made. I wish it came in more than the red color but I guess visibility is important when in ectreme conditions.

"Awesome"  12/13/10

I love this jacket, bite the bullet and buy it. I love wearing it around town in Southern California and winter in the Sierra Nevadas. Taking it to Denali this next climbing season.

"Used this in Fairbanks for all sorts of stuff. It's warm enough at -40°F"  11/01/10

Needs a ruff and corresponding pants, but it's a nice light super-warm coat.

"This jacket lives up to it's name and is very high quality."  01/30/08

It does exactly what it says it will do, and that means keeping you warm in extremely frigid temperatures. It's kind of a one trick pony, for it is designed for only really cold tempertures, and is just too warm for anything else. But, that's alright, because I didn't expect any different.
