The Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent is a roomy 3 person tent that is designed to be lightweight, provide easy set-up, and keep occupants comfortable. The guaranteed waterproof construction of the Lightpath 3 Tent includes a fully taped fly and perimeter seam with welded corners and guy clip anchors, and has been rain room tested for 24 hours with 1200 inches of rain. Using the Atlas 7001 UL pole system with color coded pole loops, Proprietary Evolution Tension Arch, and reflective starter points and guy-out loops, setting up the Lightpath 3 is extremely easy, even after dark. Mountain Hardwear uses Pitch Light configuration on this 3 person tent to allow the user to set up a super-light, warmer weather shelter using only the tent fly, poles, and footprint pieces without the Lightpath tent itself. Many high-quality features are added to the Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent, including a mesh door with dual-slide zipper, clear SVX UV-resistant window for extra light, canopy storage pockets, and super-light 1/4 inch buckles and webbing to reduce tent weight. For a sturdy and weather-resistant shelter, the Mountain Hardwear Lightpath 3 Tent is the perfect choice, ranging from weekend back-country camping trips to long-term expeditions.

"Best deal on the market, and best price at Moosejaw!" 01/01/12
This has been the most versatile tent I have owned. It works great for both car camping and backpacking. It is a true 3 person tent. It sleeps 3 people comfortably, unlike many other tents where you take the rated person size and divide by 2. At 5 lbs, it is very manageable to backpack with, and packs down to a decent small size. The fly seals everything off very nicely, makes below freezing temps manageable. Add the footprint with the fly and you have an even lighter option. Vestibule area makes a great place to store your hiking boots and pack. This is a must buy for anyone needing a backpacking tent that fits more than 1 person.
"Call it a 4 season" 10/10/11
I got this tent a year ago and used it twice, it has held up well. I used on a winter trip(3 nights of dumping snow) and me and my buds stayed DRY. This tent is bomb proof and great. Only problem is this it is large in my pack. But it is well worth the weight.
"Great Tent, ideal for 2 people" 04/29/11
Just used this tent on a backpacking trip where it rained the whole time. This tent kept me and my girlfriend dry and comfy. I like how the rainfly comes nearly all the way down to the ground, and the vestibule is really handy for pack storage. No need for the footprint, the bottom of the tent is tough and fairly water resistant. Plenty of room for 2 people, can't really imagine it being comfortable with 3. Fairly light, and not too bulky, great for backpacking. Quick and easy to set up (with 2 people). It could be done with 1 person but would probably be difficult.
"great tent" 04/19/11
I bought this tent for backpacking with 2 people. it was extremely spacious and lightweight especially when the parts were divvied up bt 2 people. For 3 people however i think this particular tent will be a little more confining than necessarily wanted.
