I got into this in the living room, wearing cargo pants and a long sleeve national whitewater compression base layer, and quickly get hot inside (68* F in the living room). I'm expecting good things from this during spring, fall, and into the mild NC winters, but during the summer, I may have to sleep with it wide open! The bags weigh just over 1 1/2 lbs, which is great for backpacking, and they pack down to smaller than a football, also great for backpacking. They each came in a large mesh gear bag, which they fit inside of very loosely. I leave them stored in those bags so they will retain their loft, saving the tight compression harness for when we actually are backpacking.
This is a great lightweight bag. We rarely find ourselves camping at temperatures below 45 to 50 degrees at night so I settled in on this bag. I have not used it yet outside of the house but it is very comfortable and I'm very excited to use it when the weather breaks in a couple months.
Lightweight, packs easy, can stretch the 45 degree rating to near freezing and beyond coupled with my thermarest prolite 4. Used on a three day hike in hoh river rainforest, kept me dry and snug.
So I'm a hot sleeper... I'm talking about body tempreture...Found this sleeping bag to maintain perfect tempreture, even slightly below the 7c mark. Roomy shoulders (I'm around 5'10/75kg and i picked up the regular), packs down to nothing. Comes with storage/wash bag.
