DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. It's cute to think of a fabric as being afraid of water. Now if only they could make a bearphobic coating. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, dry, packable Waiting for mine to arrive in the mail, but I tried it out elsewhere before making the purchase to see if I needed the regular or long version. At 6'2 I definitely fit in the regular, but I think it's worth the extra space so that my feet aren't jammed against the walls compromising loft while the opening is nice and snug around my face and above my shoulders. I'm excited to try it in the cold weather, as well as in my bivvy bag, where I usually end up with condensation on the outside of my sleeping bag, so my down bag wasn't cutting it in the cold, wet, Cascade mornings. I like how compressible this bag is for synthetic one, and almost as light as my down bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best synthetic 0 degree I could find After having both my 30 degree and my 0 degree bag stolen I did a lot of research before deciding which bag to invest in next. I spent a lot of time researching bags with a good weight/warmth ratio and for the price you can't beat this guy. I haven't used it for any extended camping trips yet, but the other night I hiked up to Boreas Pass to watch a meteor shower and it was absolutely clutch. Considering it was 6 degrees outside, I was plenty warm in this guy with a little help from an inflatable pad and some whiskey. It fit in my stuff sack very nicely and I was able to pack it along with everything needed for a winter overnight trip in a 35 liter bag (mind you, I love food).,,,,Overall, very comfortable, very warm, and the little pocket by the hood is pretty nice for the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bag I looked at a lot of bags looking for a true 0F degree bag. Although I have yet to use it at 0 degrees I have no doubt it will perform. At 25F I have been comfortable if not too warm; in fact I have had to wear a raincoat along with my single thermal layer in it to prevent the evaporative effect of perspiration from cooling me down. The bag certainly breaths well so moisture build up is not an issue. It's exactly what I was looking for.
