"Solid" 02/06/12
I needed a sleeping bag that could stand up to the unpredictable weather in the Adirondacks during the the fall hunting season. I've spent many nights in the back country with temps around 0*F and have never been close to being cold. This bag is super warm! The bag is a little heavy...but it is worth the trouble for a warm night. The zipper likes to get stuck now and then, but what bag doesnt. All in all, this is a solid bag and well worth the money.
"Great Bag, a little bulky" 12/18/11
Haven't used at -30 F but at -10 F, I was nice and cozy with the zipper open. Definitely a bag for a really large pack or if you are using porters. Doesn't pack down very tight, even with a stuff sack. It is a -30 F bag though so that kinda has to be expected a little.
"Kicked ass on a week long Kilimanjaro climb" 07/13/11
I used this bag recently on a Kilimanjaro trip and I can say even up at the higher elevations I never once felt cold and even sometimes the bag was too much and I was kinda hot. I would recommend this bag to anyone who is serious about buying a bag for a mountain expedition.
"Graet Bag" 04/21/11
After freezing on my last trip in Nepal, I decided to purchase this bag for my trip up Kilimanjaro. At the top the temparture dropped to only -10 C so I was not able to really put it to the test, but was never ever cold, which made a huge difference. Slept like a baby every night! Just enough room to turn over and get dressed inside the bag so that you did not to go out in the cold.. It was also easy to stuff in the stuff stack as you pack and unpack every day.
