Bought this to extend my hiking season into the braver months! The first few times I used it, I kept wondering why it was wet when I woke up....if you're planning on staying out more than one night, use a vapor barrier liner to prevent body heat/moisture from condensing IN the down. This down bag will last forever (I've been using it 3 years and it's still "new"), but if it's wet it won't insulate. Depending on how cold it is, it might not get so wet to become an issue but I recommend playing it safe. In addition, a VBL will add 10-15 degrees to your bag and you can leave the silk/fleece/other liner at home. *FAVE FEATURE* is the two way zip. I can throw my boot liners/socks in the bottom without having to get out of the bag. When it's warmer (like, 15F!), the bottom zip is great for ventilation. Honestly, I use this bag in temps below 20F and just ventilate with zips and de-layering as needed. If you want to invest in a warm(er) bag, this is a good light warm option!
Great bag! Super warm (it is up to -15) but doesn't get to warm even in warmer weather (20s/30s). Bag itself is super soft and very roomy. If your a side sleeper, there's room for you to move around over the course of the night. With a good stuff sack, the bag compacts very well as well.
