"Mountain Hardwear did a great job designing these new packs. I purchased mine to be used as a summer" 06/13/11
The Fluid 32 has maintained comfort throughout long days, and can take on scratches from rocks and tree branches. It rides very well on my back, sturdy and close to the back, with some ventilation due to the wave like plastic backer. It contains one metal rod which goes down the middle of the pack in order to create some rigidity (and can be removed). The shoulder straps and hip belt are both very comfortable, even on bare skin. The front stretch stuff pocket is big and good for storing rain gear or separating wet clothing. The compression straps are what make this pack the most capable, and unique to a smaller pack. It has both side compression and bottom straps. Highly recommended.
"awesome pack with one fatal flaw" 12/21/10
first the good: lightweight, comfortable, tons of space inside the pack and plenty of pockets for stashing things like headlamps, water bottles, snacks, and lighters. the big outside pocket on the back is big enough to stuff and medium weight jacket and some other small things (i through my camera in there). the bad: unfortunately, the straps are so thin, they don't "grab" very well and can slip after you tighten them down. the compression straps going up each side tend to bunch when you tighten them and get stuck, requiring several bare fingers to undo (not good in the cold). i still love this pack and it is my go to for ultra-light 1-2 nighters in the the summer or winter.
"Great pack! My girlfriend loves it..." 09/27/10
I bought this pack for my girlfriend. The only hikes that her and I do together are 1-2 nighters and this bag has plenty of room for that. It is super light weight (keeps her from being moody) and is stylish (her main thing when choosing a pack)... seems to be very rugged and well build but I haven't owned the pack long enough to say! We've been on one weekend trip and she was very pleased with the bag! I would recommend this bag to any guy or girl. Its awesome for the backpacker that doesn't carry most of the gear
"Great bag with ALOT of storage!!" 06/11/10
I bought this bag to replace a Patagonia bag I used previously and It is amazing how much room this bag has. There are so many hiding spots in this bag I usually forget stuff I have packed. It fits good and snug. I load mine up with weight for short hikes and a workout and no complaints on fit. Gets alil hot on your back despite the mesh back and frame. Overall Great bag, wish they would have reduced some of the pockets for flat out space. However Still more then enough room for a weekend away, combined with Mountain Hardwear quality this bag is extremely desirable. I highly recommend this bag.
