"Ultra lightweight, design a little flawed."  01/23/11

Yes, the sack keeps you dry. It does that very well. I thought the head on this was a great idea when I bought it, but it turned out to be poorly executed. The extra headroom is nice, but it does not breathe in the slightest. I woke up during a heavy rain storm in the back country unable to sleep because it was so stuffy and the condensation from my breath was reforming into water inches above my head and dripping on my face. I had to get up, get all wet, and fashion a shelter that went over my face using my pack cover and four sticks. It worked and I have used that ever since.
