Body Fit - A body-hugging fit for aerobic activities. Ideal for running, skate skiing and next-to-skin layering.

Active Fit - A trim fit, and just loose enough for layering and freedom of movement. Ideal for backcountry skiing, climbing, mountaineering, running, and training.

Standard Fit - A happy medium fit that is not too tight, and not too loose. Standard fitting apparel will fit over base and mid-layers without restricting movement. Ideal for backpacking, hiking, travel, work, and casual wear.

Relaxed Fit - A roomier and more progressive fit, Mountain Hardwear relaxed styles might have a longer length than a standard fit, and a softer drape. Ideal for backpacking, hiking, skiing, and good old fashioned hanging out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ehh, not warm. Waterproof, yes. These gloves should really be labeled, "Hard Shell Gloves" instead.,,They're not warm. At all. They're meant I believe to be coupled with liners, but the fit is so odd. It's tight, and doesn't really permit the use of a heavy enough liner to be warm and still maintain even a decent level of dexterity. I think they're meant as spring/summer/fall waterproof shell gloves honestly. In winter, they're utterly useless for me as they aren't warm. Conundrum, really..,,The included snap attachment means no more losing one glove, and the loops at the wrist end ensure you can get them on in a jiffy.,,Buy a size up though, they do run smallish. If it were me, I'd buy a decent snowboarding/skiing glove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High dexterity with waterproof To me, these are the perfect ice climbing gloves. The grip is bomber, the dexterity is only beatable with professional dry-tooling gloves (think Rab M14). But the kicker is that these are waterproof, which is amazing for the level of comfort/dexterity. No, this is not meant to keep your hands warm when walking around town or going on a hike in the winter (although it could in mild temps, or could if exerting high-level of output). This glove is meant to give mountain climbers confidence while gripping tools and clipping rope...and they do that. Recommended use, in order of highest to lowest:,,-Ice climb in temps between 10-35 f (esp on wet routes),,-Dry tooling in 10-45 f,,-Alpine climbing in 25-40 f,,-Set-up/break-down bivouac on alpine routes,,-Open zippers, close flaps, cook/ operate stove in temps down to -5 f,,-Through-hike the AT (or similar) early spring to late fall,,,,Recommended improvement: add VERY thin fleece on top of hand & make wrist closure more comfy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perty Sweet I got these to go over of my MH Stimulus (or something like it) for when i'm biking around the city and it freezing out. They block the wind/rain epically. I'm typically a medium/large (on the larger side) of gloves and got the XL to fit over my regular gloves. Thus far the system is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gloves, run small These gloves are of excellent quality. Definitely worth the money. Just know that they run small. My boyfriend typically wears a M or L glove, but he would need an XL in this style.
