"Just understand what youre buying!"  08/17/11

This was my first and only alpine tent. It is made for being above 10,000 feet in less than favorable weather. Im not saying that it has to be restricted to be above 10,000 feet, but i wouldnt reccomend using it during your sons scout outing at the Grand Canyon in August. You'll bake in it. This baby keeps me nice and snug in the Colorado 14ers. Its super light for a 3 man tent, and I'm pretty sure it would stand up to a hurricane or nuclear attack. Its single wall construction saves on weight and makes this tent oober simple. Designed by Ed himself, what more could you ask for?

"Bomber tent!"  03/30/11

I love this tent! I've got to hand it to Mountain Hardwear and Ed Viesturs for creating a bad ass tent. It's super easy to put up and take down, is super sturdy and warm, it's got plenty of vents to get circulation and to keep the condensation to a minimum, has a built in vestibule for a little extra storage space, and the Scandium poles are super light. One of the coolest features are the windows that allow you to see conditions outside without actually opening the doors to stick your head outside. It's an expensive tent, but totally worth it when the winds howling at high altitude. I would definitely recommend this tent!

"Its worth it!"  12/25/10

This tent may seem like its a waste of money, but that is far from the truth. It is easy to pack and works greeeaat during the winter months. i have used many winter tents and this is by far the best. And it has that sweet explorer look to it. Doesnt look like it could be at the Summit of Everest! GREAT!!
