"GREAT PRODUCT." 12/15/11
NAMO AMITABHA. This hat is a wonderful piece. It is warm, light, breathable, wind protection and no itch. I wore it for 3 to 4 hours at a time and forgot it is on. Comfortable period. Fabric is from Polartec Thermal Pro and Wind Stopper.
"Great Hat, Windstopper fleece is awesome" 11/25/11
I got this hat as a Christmas hat last year, and it has been my go to winter hat ever since. My head has never gotten cold in this hat, the windstopper fleece stops wind like a boss. This hat does not work well under ski helmets because it is too bulky, but overall this hat is great.
"Great Hat! Very Warm and wind resistant" 09/12/11
Overall I like the hat. I wish the size was alittle bigger. It fits snug, but I have a relative big head 7 5/8 ths hat size. Like others have said it is alittle noisey at times due to it fits snug against your ears. Pefect for the windy slopes.
"Great hat" 06/07/11
I used this hat in my recent trip to Boise National forest. Used it for around the campground and for sleep at night. Stays on my head very nicely, but not too tight. I know that many reviews here complain about the noise muffling, but it is not that bad. My only complaint about the hat is the logo on the front...I think its a bit too pronounced...I don't really like being a walking billboard.
"BEST HAT EVER!!!" 03/24/11
this is by far the best hat ever if your going for warmth. my ears are sensitive and this hat protects them in any conditions. i wear it for work, skiing, shoveling, mountainering, ...everything!!! i have it in every color. i have used this hat for at least 3 or 4 years now. LOVE IT. Great company , better hat!
"Get several!" 03/11/11
I love this hat. Wind killer and warm. This really saved my butt in the fridgid winter this year. It is a bit harder to hear when you have it on, but you could fold the earflap up if it really bothers you. Packable enough to fit in your pocket and definitely the warmest hat I've ever worn! You WILL be sweating if you exurt yourself wearing this hat. The hat does have a weird pointy gnome effect on the top if you don't pull it down far enough over your head. i've found that the back of the hat likes to rest on the base of my neck for optimal comfort/coverage.Get a couple and never worry about cold biting winds nipping at your head ever again!!
"This hat was great on Mt. Kilmanjaro -- kept warm & dry in light snow, sleet and wind at altitude." 01/24/11
This hat performed excellently at keeping my head warm at altitudes up to 19K+ in wind, sleet and light rain. It's windproof and the design keeps your ears warm. It fit great under my Marmot Minimalist hardshell. I got the green and love the color as well, but mostly got this for it's performance. It didn't let me down!
"I look like a Cone Head. A very warm, comfortable, non-frostbitten Cone Head." 12/30/10
Went on a glacier trip a couple weeks ago with this hat and was thoroughly satisfied. Though due to the poor sizing chart, I purchased the hat too large, I wouldn't say these run true to size. Ultimately I looked like a Cone Head, because of the extra hat left at the top, when I pulled it on. Other than that, this hat blocks the wind like a champ, and the annoying whistling of your climbing partner.
"Love It, Love It, Love It!" 12/26/10
You simply cannot beat this hat. Warmest I've ever owned. The Windstopper fleece/lining is fantastic. It'll keep you warm for hours on end, even when it's cold and windy. I never leave home in the winter without it!
"keep you warm at -10C" 12/25/10
Bought this hat for my first winter in Canada. It keeps me warm under 10degree C. Another plus point is that it comes in different size. I can't wear those uni-size hat, but the L size fit me well. The windstopper really works. Can't feel the strong wind at all. Love it!
"Warm, Warm, Too Warm?" 12/18/10
I hike a lot, and as anyone who hikes a lot will tell you, hiking in the Winter is like stripping sometimes. After 1,000 ft., I take off the fleece. After 2,000 ft., off come the gloves. By the top of the mountain, I'm down to some cut-off jean shorts, sandals, and a mesh Billy Ray Cyrus t-shirt. But seriously, the Dome Perignon is a really warm hat. For me, it's a little too warm. The rigid exterior is also a little bulky. For in-town or a day-hiker, I'd say, "Go for it! Great hat." But for long-distance hikers who're more-often concerned about weight and function, get the lighter Mt. Hardwear fleece hat.
