The Mountain Hardwear Direttissima 35 OutDry Backpack is a waterproof pack for short day adventures. Load it up and make for the summit, rain, shine, sleet or snow. Your gear stays happy and dry thanks to OutDry® construction. The 400D HD nylon fabric with HardWear X-Ply ripstop accents and a 840D HT ballistic nylon bottom takes a beating from nature so your gear doesn't have to. The HardWave suspension makes for a comfortable carry, distributing weight evenly. The padded waistbelt is where things start to get awesome. It has gear loops for climbing gear and when you're carrying a lighter load it is completely removable. MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.

What are the main compartment dimensions of this pack? Or put another way, how large an item can I put inside this pack. Thanks!

Asked by: sidpost
Hiya, thanks for your question! The main compartment measures 29 inches height, 5.75 inches width and 5 inches depth (give or take), this includes the pack unrolled at the top. I bet you could fit a decent amount of stuff in there. I always bring snacks and my hand puppet named Franklin. Hope this helps!

Does this pack have an accessible pocket that hydration bladders like Camelbak's Unbottle can be slipped into? Can't tell from the photos if there is a lumbar pocket. Thx!

Asked by: Antman
Hiya Antman, thanks for your question! There are no pockets in this pack, except for the removable top pocket, which is too small for a hydration bladder. Hope this helps!
