The Mountain Equipment Men's Vector Jacket is a waterproof jacket for ascending your favorite mountains in unsavory weather. The Vector uses DRILITE 40D fabric for durable, waterproof, and breathable protection against the worst wind, rain, and snow. The alpine cut runs close to the body, preventing gear from getting caught with layers underneath. The sleeves are articulated, allowing for free, unrestricted movement as you climb. The cuffs adjust with Velcro and bottom hem features a drawcord to shut out blowing drafts, while laser cut underarm venting keeps you cool as you work up a sweat. Two pockets secure extra glove liners or snacks. The jacket includes a stuff sack for compressed packing into your backpack when not in use.

Lightweight shell with surprising breathabilityI bought this jacket as a walking around the city raincoat cause it looks slick as hell, but I've ended up using it on touring trips just because it is so light and compresses tiny. It's fully waterproof in my experience and the breathability is remarkable. This isn't your pro gore tex but it's great on light and fast days, or in the alpine where your not getting caught on branches and rocks. I also ride my bike to work with it. One thing to note is no pit zips.
