SPECIFICATIONS of the Montrail Women's Badrock Mid OutDry Boot
I searched and searched and searched for some good cute hiking boots and was so happy to find these! They fit great and look even better, super comfortable and works great when i went splashing through water, my socks and feet stayed cozy and dry. After only wearing them out and about for 2 hours my feet already felt comfortable in them, no rough breaking in period at all. Can't wait to use them on my 18 day hiking trip!
I rush-delivered these boots a few days before a camping trip and was terrified that I'd have to suffer through the world's worst blisters since I had no time to break them in. I hiked for hours and hours that weekend in these boots and quality hiking socks and I did not get ONE single blister. These were incredibly comfortable (I wear mine a little loose in the laces) and they come up just high enough to protect the ankle without being a true "boot". The grips on the bottom were great for steeper inclines and small pebbles on the trails. Obviously I was drawn to these boots because they weren't that god-awful taupe color, but they've proved to be a fantastic investment. Oh- and they're true to size. I wear a 9.5 tennis shoe and a 9.5 in these boots. Love 'em.
"These shoes are by far the best hiking boots I could have ever come across!"
I have tried out several different kind of boots for hiking, and my biggest problem is weight, waterproof capability and snugness. These shoes fit all three. They fit like an awesome snug tennis shoe, but they have all the capability for a great hike. I feel completely safe in them and can go on some pretty dangerous terrain and feel comfortable and supported. They have saved my ankles from rolling or twisting several times. Also, they are trendy enough to wear on campus or around town, and are also comfortable enough! My feet never get swollen! All in all an awesome hiking shoe that doesn't look like the typical boot, but works like one.
Shoes to fit are a problem for me because of wide forefoot and NARROW instep. This boot has it all. I tried it around the house for a few hours to be sure I should try a hike. That passed and I walked over 3 miles with two dogs in tow and my feet, and knee (missing ACL) were so happy even at the end of this long day in a new pair of boots. Now I just pray they last very many miles as they are just perfect. Agressive but not too much sole to go along with the good looks and comfort. Takes a minute to lace them appropriately. DKW
