| This shoe is my shoe of choice after grinding through about 10 different trail shoes in the past year. I run about 10-15 hours a week of very technical, hilly terrain over lots of different surfaces. All in, this shoe performs better and sticks better to a variety of surfaces than any other I've used in recent years. It fit comfortably right out of the box and hasn't given me a single blister yet (even after an 85km race this past weekend). The only fault I can find is the fact that I've worn out the sole and need a new pair after about 400km. But for the great price, low weight and performance feel, I cannot rave about this shoe enough. | |

"Comfortable yet lacking most trail shoe basics" |

| These shoes fit like slipper and have cushioning like a mattress! The problem is, would you want to trail run in a pair of slippers with a mattress on the bottom? After discontinuing the Hurricane Ridge model, I decided to go for a different model. They toted a sticky rubber sole, Well.. once the ground got a little wet, i slip around like crazy. Umph. Doesn't montrail know these will be used out side? Why do people mess with a good thing?, i'm not sure but i would bet that either some new product designer came in and decided to put his/her fingerprint on the shoe line, or the company was sold and is now being run by looking at the bottom line. | |
