The Montrail Men's Feather Peak GTX Boot is a premium backpacking and hiking boot that is thoughtfully engineered and crafted for challenging terrains and trekking. This rugged Montrail boot features awesome support and stability from the bottom up, and allows the capability to carry heavy loads over long distances, or day hikes over the most challenging terrain. One time I left home without my Montrail footwear, and nothing has been the same ever since. I'm sad now so I need to stop writing about it.

"Amazing Boot" 01/19/11

This boot is great for people prone to history of angle problems in high-top boots. The area around and above the ankle (scree collar) is supple enough to not cause friction, but supportive enough to prevent ankle tweaks. I have put just about 600 miles on my boots with no problems. They are still waterproof and still have as much support as when I opened the box.

"sizes are odd" 01/05/11

I wear a solid size thirteen in Merrells, Asics and New Balances. I bought these in a size thirteen and they were just too big. Couldn't find a 12.5 so i sent them back to moosejaw with FREE shipping :) don't know why they don't have a 12.5... Big guys like their boots to fit too!
