The MontBell Men's Frost Line Down Parka. Whether in search of a cold weather camp jacket or a simple, yet reliable belay piece the warmth provided by box construction is a must! Normally used in the production of sleeping bags, this method minimizes heat loss from seam lines. The Frost Line Parka makes an exceptional insulating layer for those that prefer the solitude and challenge of winter activity at altitude. A helmet compatible, zip-off hood, adjustable alpine cuffs, and hem draw cord allow you to fine tune the fit. Slightly over-sized with a longer torso this "all mountain" parka is cut for layering and appropriate from late fall to early spring.

You will wish it was cold all the time.PROS: Warm. Light, and packs down nicely. In fact, it's sack is about 30% larger than it needs to be, so you can get this compressed even further. When packed, it doubles as a nice pillow. ,,CONS: Few minor points, Velcro related. ,,Outside pockets are great and comfy, but the lining sticks to velcro, sometimes quite annoyingly. ,,Inside pockets are huge, and very useful, but they are kept closed with velcro strips, with the sticky side facing away from the jacket (towards the chest). That means if you are wearing anything fuzzy, it will be sticking to those velcro strips, unless you close them perfectly.,,OTHER: 6', 170 lb male fits in a medium size with plenty of room to layer.
