Works wellI use this heart rate monitor while running, paired to a Garmin Forerunner 210 watch. I wear it on the same arm as the Garmin around 3 inches above my wrist. I've used around 15 times in various conditions - rain, sun, under long sleeves, etc. I chose this model over the Scosche Rhythm+ because I like the non-porous wristband that wipes dry and doesn't collect sweat. However, in trying to get a good HR reading I sometimes crank the strap so tight that it's uncomfortable. I've found that one hole short of uncomfortable gives accurate HR readings and maintains blood flow to my hand. The Mio app for Android is pretty limited, so I used it to set heart rate zones and haven't opened it again since. I use the Garmin Connect app to review heart rate data instead.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and use this monitor on every run. Not only do I look extra cool wearing what looks like 2 watches on the same arm, but it avoids the chafing that I get with chest HR monitors.
