The Metolius Safe Tech Trad Harness is a harness for traditional climbing. Adjustable at three points via the locking speed buckles, you can fix the fit to your liking and change it as often as you change your clothing layers. Once the buckle is set, it locks nice and tight, so you'll have to separate the little tiny plates to make a new adjustment. Comfortable yet light, the padding won't cut in and the gear loops are placed for quick grabbing of draws. Don't be like me, nobody calls it traditional, it's just 'trad'.

Comfy, secure harnessPrior to this harness I had been using a harness from a company that rhymes with pretzel. While the harness was very decent in most conditions I did have some frustrating issues. One of my climbing partners is a heftier guy and when belaying I would often get a lot of sack pinchage. Taking bigger lead falls had also left me bruised on my back at times as well.,,,,I hopped that this harness would fix those problems and it has with flying colors. The leg straps are more adjustable, protecting my future lineage. The harness is also more padded than my previous, sportier harness. Taking big falls, or hanging around after finally getting some pro placed is much more comfortable. I've been very happy with this harness.
