"I love this bag"  05/21/12

It does it all and keeps on giving. A friend of mine has had this back for 3 years and it's still going strong. I think mine is of the same quality

"It does what it needs to do"  05/21/12

The bag functions perfectly and stands up to rough treatment, mud, and my dog thinking the trap is a dogbed. The carry strap could stand to be a little longer

"Great bag!"  05/08/12

It's super easy to get your rope inside this bag, it all rolls up and cinches up nicely into a compact little package. Great basic bag for the price, and I love the fish print. I only wish there were more prints to choose from...

"Great Bag!"  04/25/12

I love that it lets to see which rope is in which bag with its tiny window. The tarp is the perfect size, not too big like on other bags which take up space.

"Sweet design, big tarp, good straps"  04/23/12

The tarp is huuuuge! Best part of it as some tarps are just so small your rope can hardly be kept withnin. The compression buckles work well to compressed the bulk and the drawstring closure on the top seems rather strong and does its job! Carrying handle is soft to touch and has sufficient padding. Only downside is its side loading so I usually packed it, strapped and compressed it fully before putting in my backpack =) Good price for this I feel

"Cheap, Functional, Small."  04/19/12

Objectively, not the best all around rope bag. It only holds one rope, and would be tight for anything over 60m.Thankfully, I only have one rope, and it's a 60.And I'm cheap. And I think comfy bags are silly.

"totally worth it!"  11/22/11

The tarp is nice and big and the design makes it super easy to pack your rope into the bag. It all cinches down to this ultra-portable little bundle. I think I'm in love...

"Good Solid Rope Bag"  10/03/11

I have two of these, They are good solid rope bags with a good size tarp. The buckle system is quick and easy and keeps it pretty secure while hiking from crag to crag. Some people I know have mentioned the draw string closure has broken on them, hasn't happen to me, though I rarely tighten it anyways. A little more than I would like to pay for a rope bag, but it is worth it in the long run as the bag will last through many ropes.

"Absolute must for any sport or trad climber."  09/15/11

I was previously using a duffel bag for my rope. It felt like I was slapping my rope in the face. The greatest part of this bag is the huge tarp. It provides a great place to put your shoes on so you're not in the dirt and ample space to lay the loose end of your rope when pulling through it's like a king size bed for a six-year old. The pocket at the bottom of the tarp is also a spectacular addition. Instead of your rope sliding about, stuff it down in the pocket like a super-sized burrito. Stellar aluminum buckles make for quick and easy packing and compressing. Treat your rope the right way and buy this bag.

"Love this Fishy Bag"  07/27/11

Handy Rope bag with large tarp, just what you need at the gym or the crag. Easy to wrap and store your rope in a hurry, and the carry strap is perfect if you have all your other gear in a backpack. Love the fishy exterior, fish look mean, no nonsense. No one else has one at the gym.

"Refined, solid, clever touches"  05/11/11

This is maybe my favorite rope bag ever. And Metolius has taken customer feedback and improved its product over the years:* The buckles are now unbreakable (and near-unbendable without a rock or a hammer) metal.* The shoulder strap has been improved and is now more comfortable.* The mounting points for the shoulder strap have been strengthened.* The tarp now has a "window," allowing you to see exactly what's in the bag (just make sure to buy all your ropes in different colors, or you're kind of defeating the purpose). And, in a pinch, it makes for a nice, 20-liter overnight bag.
