Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great, especially for tight spaces. My friend has a set of these in his dorm room, tied to the under-frame of his lofted bed. That kind of epitomizes how great these are. The option of mounting them with screws or using the (supplied) rope is nice. Also, they work great for practicing a few types of holds. You can use the sides (or front/back) to practice your pinches, the 3 different slots are machined at different depths for strengthening different parts of your fingers at different difficulties, and the top provides an area for working your upper body.,,,,Unless you can hit a wall or the gym every day, these should really have a place in your room of choice as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome urban training device I was looking for a device to help me train for rock climbing when I wouldn't be able to go outside. I checked out a number of different products - campus boards, training boards, and finally the rock rings. I settled on the rock rings because of their portability. These holds are awesome and I've made a permanent mount for them at home and also have attached them to the squat rack at my gym. I can fit all four of my (larger) fingers in the top hold, three in the second hold, and two in the bottom hold. The jugs on top are nice for general pullups. Overall, it is an awesome tool to get pumpy at home rather than on real routes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy! Allows creativity! These rock rings are most fantastic. The finger pockets are solid and allow you to really emphasize how you want to work on your fingers. They have helped me develop one-armed pull ups! I have a bunjee cord attached to both loops of the rock rings and slung over a tree branch- allowing liberated movement and perhaps a harder workout. ,,,,This also means that you can take it on the go! ,,,,I just bought a second set- I'm hoping to make a little swinging route on my tree. ,,,,These rock rings really give you plenty of opportunity to exercise creativity, a solid work out (core, abs, back, shoulders, etc) , and are also conveniently travel-friendly. A great buy. ,,,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from work of art I bought these to complement the decor in my condo, but as luck would have it, they are a ball to use. I enjoy pull-ups on them much more than my hangboard, and find them handy for everything from dead hangs, to impromptu pull-up contests with visitors, to swinging around my living room, to getting inverted so I can get a headrush. Only beef is that Metolius overestimates the pocket sizes: they aren't 4, 4, and 3 finger pockets unless you stack fingers. More like 4, 3, 2.....but a better workout I guess!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from an absolute must These are the best. I use them at my climbing gym and needed a pair to travel with. I recommend that you bring a long runner for each one and a D-Ring to hang them in a branch and get a bomber workout in the process.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for what they are I have these hanging from my ceiling and am able to do short morning or night work outs to stay active and keep my finger and forearm strength during the off season. They are able to be put up and taken down very easily which is great for people who don't just want their Rock Rings hanging from the ceilings at all time. If you choose not to use it for a week or so can also be used as a great coat hanger :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product. Honestly I was a bit skeptical but having known people who recommend them and quite a few good tutorials with these exact ones I figured why not give it a shot.,,,,Well I can tell you, you can be a total beginner or an expert and still get good use out of these. It all depends on how much you want the burn and you can get it every time and pretty quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely would recommend. Especially to those who can't always make it to the gym/crux. I ordered the Metolius Rock Rings CNC 3D in the blue/blue swirl color, just a personal preference. I work a lot and don't always have time to make it to the gym so these were perfect for my situation. I get together with a buddy who has a slack line, I bring the rock rings and we meet up at a local playground. String them up and its like your own personal gym. I can fit 3 fingers in the smallest hold and 4 in the middle.,,,,Pros: Convenient, versatile, durable. These rock rings are a bit bulky. You could probably throw them across a parking lot without them breaking or being damaged. They are made a of good material that feels very similar to sandstone. Also as a side note, if you are alone in the park on a late night, not to fear... these can very easily be used to defend yourself in such a situation.,,Cons: The few cons I will mention are minor DIY adjustments. The paracord that the rock rings come with is quite short. You will definitely want to get something lengthier.
