Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool in a pinch These are a fun tool to have on your rack but their function is very singular. They do have advantages of just carrying extra cord for prusik knots, or other tension knots. The figure 8 bends have a plastic coating on them which ensure the knots and protect the cords integrity. Pigtails are double stitched to the cord for further safety. For quick, self rescue this is a great product and the only downside I found was that it's very limited to just that purpose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but limited use This could be great but it depends on what you want to use it for. Cord make a nice prussik or autobloc except that the pre-sewn, knotted ends are very stiff and take up a lot of the cord, making about 8 inches of each cord unbendable and basically unusable... I found more use out of these by cutting the longer one and tying it together myself with a double fishermans, etc...(removing the pre-sewn part).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for rappel back up and self rescue with a couple big lockers great product, especially when you don't want to buy any chord for other things such as an equallette I have a big sling for that. The permanent knotts are also nice if this is all you need them for. Great applications in self rescue, and knot very well. I find the most useful knots to be the Klemheist and the Bachman with these and a 10.2mm rope

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice piece of cord, buy and save yourself the trouble If you want piece of mind, no loose knots....the product is your buy! great to have in 2 different length, material slides well moving up and grips well on either dry or wet rope under weight....just know how to tie your prussik and use an appropriate dimension rope! recommended buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good to have It's always great to have some prusik cords around. Especially teaching someone to rappel. The two pack is definitely the way to go. Different lengths so you know what you like and it was great when teaching my stepdaughter to rappel. You definitely need some of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what a Prusik cord should! Does exactly what a Prusik cord should do. No complaints! We use it general wall maintenance such as setting routes and bringing tools and things like that up the wall with us to set routes. So, it does everything I would have expected!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheapest lifesaver! A prusik is THE cheapest lifesaver you can get! Whether you buy it like this set or just some rope. Personally I would say that the knot to loop it together should be a double fish knot instead of a figure of 8.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not cheap but convienent and durable Always use prusiks as a backup when top rope soloing. If my ascender doesnt catch, the prusik is always there to catch me and these metolius cords are the perfect length and convienent to carry with me.
