"Good tool in a pinch"  04/21/11

These are a fun tool to have on your rack but their function is very singular. They do have advantages of just carrying extra cord for prusik knots, or other tension knots. The figure 8 bends have a plastic coating on them which ensure the knots and protect the cords integrity. Pigtails are double stitched to the cord for further safety. For quick, self rescue this is a great product and the only downside I found was that it's very limited to just that purpose.

"Does exactly what a Prusik cord should!"  12/07/09

Does exactly what a Prusik cord should do. No complaints! We use it general wall maintenance such as setting routes and bringing tools and things like that up the wall with us to set routes. So, it does everything I would have expected!

"good but could be beter"  11/28/09

These prusik loops are good but on a basic standard, they are made too thick and will slide some when you try to ascend rope. The knot and shrink-wrap is very well done though.

"Fine, but why aren't these cords sold independently?"  04/03/09

This product works fine for my emergency line. But, the price is a little bit high, since I only wanted one cord. And the sizes are either a bit too long or a bit too short.

"Great for rappel back up and self rescue with a couple big lockers"  08/18/08

great product, especially when you don't want to buy any chord for other things such as an equallette I have a big sling for that. The permanent knotts are also nice if this is all you need them for. Great applications in self rescue, and knot very well. I find the most useful knots to be the Klemheist and the Bachman with these and a 10.2mm rope

"you could correct that"  05/26/08

not a comment, just a clarification. the product specs read Length 28 72 mm and 47.5 120mm but, 28 inches are 72 centimeters, not millimeters. and 47.5 are 120 cm, not mm.

"Cheapest lifesaver!"  12/25/07

A prusik is THE cheapest lifesaver you can get! Whether you buy it like this set or just some rope. Personally I would say that the knot to loop it together should be a double fish knot instead of a figure of 8.
