Useful Piece of Specialized Gear, Yet PriceyThe Metolius PAS has a number of applications - anchoring into a bolt for a rest, or securing oneself prior to disassembling an anchor.,,,,Also, the lightweight Dyneema provides considerable weight savings over using slings or quickdraw for securing the climber.,,,,Pros/cons:,,,,Lightweight: 3.3oz (+ 1.5oz carabiner?).,,,,Somewhat expensive - Sterling produces their Reactor version of the anchor system, at half the cost and a slight weight increase (nylon vs. Dyneema).

This product is awesome!!!!I am very happy with this anchor. I use it to hold gear, set up anchors, and equalize weight so i can cliff hang. This product is great if you are just starting off tot experienced climbers. It can also be used for rescuing if you needed to. I recommend this product for anyone who is an adventurer, unless you took an arrow to the knee...

Little pricey, but worth the peace of mind it offers. If you're a cautious climber like I am, then I would recommend this to you. Unlike a regular daisy chain, each loop on this rated to hold a fall. Plus, the fall ratings allow you to adjust to the loop you need for the length you want. I've had one ever since I started climbing and don't change over without this on my harness.
