Monster Static Ropes by Metolius have a proven longevity record and have been praised for their high tenacity, very low working elongations, and excellent handling and knotability characteristics (i.e. they don't handle like a steel cable!). Static Ropes are characterized by their tough, durable nature and very low elongation. They are designed for use in applications such as jumaring, hauling, rope fixing, rigging and rescue work. They should never be used where energy absorption is required (catching a falling climber)!
