Monster Static Ropes by Metolius have a proven longevity record and have been praised for their high tenacity, very low working elongations, and excellent handling and knotability characteristics (i.e. they don't handle like a steel cable!). Meets or exceeds CE 0408, EN 1891, and U.I.A.A. standards.
Static Ropes are characterized by their tough, durable nature and very low elongation. They are designed for use in applications such as jumaring, hauling, rope fixing, rigging and rescue work. They should never be used where energy absorption is required (catching a falling climber)!

Works great for our useClimbers may find this completely worthless but perhaps some may not. I work as a hydrologist doing discharge measurements on rivers and streams and this rope works great for our application. We carabiner to small boats (about 75lbs) that have acoustic and gps equipment mounted in them and routinely lower and raise them off bridges into rivers. This static rope holds up great even though often strained along bridge rails and concrete rails. When measuring floods the boats quickly respond to the rope making it easier to avoid snags and get through turbulence and backwater eddies...excellent product for the price. I was also able to easily cut into sections of desired length then just used a pair of pliers and a heat gun to make nice seals where the rope was cut.

Great Static RopeI purchased this tough, durable 11mm for rescues on the climbing towers at Boy Scout Camp. I've used it over 100 times out in Joshua Tree as a double rappel line. The rope has held up well and has a good supple feel to it. All 100 meters will fit perfectly inside a Blackhawk Industries rope bag.
