Monster Static Ropes by Metolius have a proven longevity record and have been praised for their high tenacity, very low working elongations, and excellent handling and knotability characteristics (i.e. they don't handle like a steel cable!). Meets or exceeds CE 0408, EN 1891, and U.I.A.A. standards.

Static Ropes are characterized by their tough, durable nature and very low elongation. They are designed for use in applications such as jumaring, hauling, rope fixing, rigging and rescue work. They should never be used where energy absorption is required (catching a falling climber)!

"good for rappel not as floss" 07/24/08

got the 9 mil thickness for a lightweight rappel rope. used it to climb a tree to get to a geocache and it worked great. tried to use it as floss but it didnt work so good.

"Great Static Rope" 08/28/07

I purchased this tough, durable 11mm for rescues on the climbing towers at Boy Scout Camp. I've used it over 100 times out in Joshua Tree as a double rappel line. The rope has held up well and has a good supple feel to it. All 100 meters will fit perfectly inside a Blackhawk Industries rope bag.
