Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works, but with limited utility. The launch pad CAN be a nice addition. The pad is light and can be easily strapped to a full crash pad and act as a convenient satellite pad. However, it provides significantly less protection so a standard pad is always preferable. If you are out climbing with a group and you have a few crash pads at your disposal then this pad serves little purpose and the extra weight and space isn't worth it (also, depending on your budget, the price). If climbing with only one other person/pad, or god forbid, by yourself, the launch pad would come in handy. ,, ,,Basically if you climb in small numbers the pad could be useful but otherwise save the weight, space, and money for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pad! I use this pad primarily for the start of a problem and for wiping my shoes. I also find it is useful for moves on boulders that are adjacent to another boulder where if you fall you'll hit the other boulder. I wouldn't use it as my main crash pad; it supplements your other pads.
