"Best Walking Shoes Ever"  05/15/12

I walk dogs for a living (among a few other things) so when it comes to shoes I need something that feels great on my feet & will hold up well. These shoes are it. My first pair lasted over a year (even then they were just starting to get really worn) & I spend about 8 hours a day walking/running/being dragged down a street. These shoes are super comfortable & have treated me great on all types of terrain. I suffered a serious back injury a few years ago as well & wearing well cushioned supportive shoes makes a world of difference. These shoes are just awesome. You should get them. They're my favorite everyday shoes.

"This shoe is LEGIT."  01/18/12

So I wear this shoe, literally, for any reason. It takes on snow and rain and mud like a pro and the waterproofing is really impressive. I'm a tour guide at my college and this shoe has done me well on many rainy or blizzarding visit days. But it also is really easy to walk in on the hiking trails nearby campus. Very sturdy, very dry, and great to walk long distances in. I am seriously impressed with this really diverse shoe.

"They can't keep up with me"  01/05/12

A hole in the toe after only 8 months... I suppose I am pretty rough on shoes. If you are more careful than I am, I'm sure these will last you a good while. Pretty comfortable though.

"My favorite do-anything shoe."  12/17/11

I got these a year ago last Christmas and have worn them nearly everyday ever since. I've worn them hiking, to class, to work, to the mall, out in the snow, in rainstorms, etc. They are incredibly comfortable for long days on my feet and have held up awesomely. I had to replace the laces after about 8 months because they tore, but other than that, I have no complaints. The vibram soles are absolutely amazing and my feet never get tired when wearing these.

"Feel like little fingers grabbing the trail"  11/27/11

I adore my Merrell Siren Sports - beautiful fit, not to snug or loose anywhere, arch hits just right. The sole is just-right stiff, it's not going to go limp on you at the peak of the trail, but it doesn't feel like walking on boards. The tread is fantastic, very grippy and wonderful. I wore those with my SmartWool PhD socks and never wanted to leave the mountain. Seriously, I asked them to bring my dinner outside but they wouldn't. I also love the Merrell doesn't force me to pick from Girly Color #1 (pink) or Girly Color #2 (lavender); they give us a good solid, tough colors to choose from - just because I'm a chick doesn't mean I'm a princess. Stop reading and buy these shoes!

"This is quite the bad ass women's hiking shoe"  07/16/11

I originally bought the Siren Sport stretch but I wanted a little more stability and security on more rigorous hikes so I opted for the version with laces. I'm crazy about Merrell shoes and their foot beds made specifically for women. This shoe is light and flexible and overall an amazing choice.

"They're fantastic!"  07/11/11

I have wide feet, which cause a lot of problems in buying hiking shoes. The Merrell Siren Sport is made well, but the foot bed is quite narrow - opt for the wide size (or size up) if you're having doubts. I wore them on my last hike - and my feet felt wonderful afterwards!

"Buy this shoe if you want your feet to love you!"  06/23/11

I have trouble finding shoes because I need custom orthodics with a heel lift. While the left shoe fit fine with the insert the right (which has the added height due to heel lift) my fit but kinda slipped off my heel. Nothing I couldn't deal with & a heck of a lot better than 90% of the shoes I have tried on. Nevertheless, I did a little modification & just velcro-ed the heel lift to the shoes' regular insert & I am all set. I love the way these shoes make my feet, back, & hips feel. I put them on the first time (wore them for hours) and had no problems with blisters or rubbing or the general "breaking in" process.

"Color matches picture for Elephant/Pink"  06/01/11

I just wanted to add that the Elephant/Pink looks like it does in the picture here. I noticed others were complaining about the colors not matching the picture for the other two, but that is not the case for the Elephant/Pink ones! :-)

"Awesome Shoe. Seriously."  03/27/11

I'm a tour guide at my college and I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable, yet stylish (got to look good in front of those prospective students) and could handle any type of weather Michigan could throw within a 1 hour period. These are ideal. They are light, amply cushioned and breathe well, but somehow remain impervious to the elements. I go hiking in our college's nature preserve with my English class too and I think I'm the only person who has never complained about footwear. This shoe has survived snow, rain, mud, hail, and everything in between on all kinds of terrain. I can't wait to try these out on more serious hikes this summer! They're out of control. In a good way.
