I love Merrill's, they are so comfortable when I go shopping they are my first choice. These shoes are comfortable and live up to Merrill's reputation. You will love them!
I buy a new pair of these shoes once per year. I loooooove these shoes. They are comfortable, grippy, and sturdy without being clompy or stiff. The quality hasn't diminished a bit in the last 5 years, which unfortunately I cannot say about other brands. After a year of wear, the only wear spots will be the back of the shoe (because I jam my feet in without untying the shoe) and the outer side of the heel sole. I wear these shoes to work 5 days a week, 52 weeks per year because they are brown, so they don't "count" as sneakers on my office.
I was looking for a supportive shoe for walking and light hiking. I've been looking for almost 8 months and finally found what I was looking for in this shoe! We are honeymooning on Marthas Vineyard and plan on a lot of hiking and walking through all those cute little towns. I also work in a hospital and walk on my breaks around town so these shoes rock for that too! They are very comfortable and the pain I was experiencing in my feet and legs has disappeared after a very short time of wearing these. They feel like they form to your feet. I usually wear an 8 or 8 1/2 but had to get a 9 in these.
The Moab is a great go-to shoe for walking and hiking, however, the shoe shown here is not what you get so if looking for a darker colored shoe than the other taupe Moab seen on Moosejaw---this isn't it. The shoe received was the lighter Taupe colored Moab ventilator. This darker version also isn't found on the Merrell website so who knows???
