Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wide feet and no blisters! I got these for Christmas this year for backpacking in Patagonia. I wore them all week while hiking in Torres del Paine with no problems. It was super rainy so they did get wet after hiking for a few hours but most of the time they were dry. I wore your typically hiking wool socks and didn't get a blister all week. By the end my feet were rather sore but I have a feeling that had more to do with how much we had hiked. They fit well, laced up right, and had pretty good support. they are a great show if you want some hiking boots but don't want them to completely encase your ankle these are the boots for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Overall nice boot, good grip, sturdy, great at keeping your feet dry and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, they ended up giving me very odd bruises/blisters on both of my big toes. At first I thought that I just needed to break them in, but this effect never lessened. They felt good in the store, but ended up becoming very uncomfortable in the long run. ,,,,My advice? Wear them around the house for a couple of days to see if they are truly a good fit before wearing them outside. I ended up being very disappointed. ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome waterproof hiking boots I love these boots. They are super comfortable and provide my ankles with the support they need out on the trail. Crossed a few streams while hiking in the Smokies and my feet didn't get wet at all. The soles are super grippy and I didn't feel like I was losing traction on any of the wet rocks on the trails. Be sure to wear them around the house with your hiking socks to make sure that they fit your feet well before heading out on the trail- blisters and sore feet certainly don't add to the beauty of nature!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Will See Just got a pair of these and so far they are the most comfortable hiking boot that I have worn. Before I bought these I looked at several more expensive pairs of boots but most did not fit as well or didn't feel as comfortable. Great traction on everything I have tried them on so far. Just hope they hold up after reading one of the other reviews. I guess for the price though you could buy a second pair for the price of some of the other boots out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from never buy anything else! i have 3 pairs of merrells, together they have 15+ years on them and they are ALL still wearable and comfortable. i've gone through a series of "waterproof" shoes and none are reliable and long lasting as merrell. while other ankle height boots tend to make my ankles sore, these don't. enough flexibility to not feel like bricks on my feet but stable enough to prevent injuries. layer thick socks in the winter and your toes will be fine!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the most comfortable boot ever These boots are durable, very waterproof, and even fashionable. They don't scream, "hiking boot!" when they're under a good jean. They support my ankles pretty well while hiking, but my complaint is that the top of the boot rubs my ankles all the way around the back. I end up with a sore red spot, even through my hiking socks. They aren't my favorite hiking boots, but they get the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Foot Massage I upgraded to these shoes from a pair of hiking tennis shoes. All I can say is, "huge improvement!" I love these boots, they feel like a glove and the extra padding inside is great after a long day on the trail. The Vibram soles flex with your step and make your stride very natural. Wore these for two weeks straight without any blisters or sore spots. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boots for Hiking I wore these around Estes Park in the Rockies. It was snowing and cold, yet my feet stayed warm, dry, and didn't slip at all. They take very little time to break in, and I have yet to get a single blister from them.,,,,The only issue that is that the laces are particularly prone to come undone, so I would suggest replacing them with your favorite, staying-tied type.
