"Great shoe with great support." 04/08/13
Got a pair about 2 years ago. Have worn them on about 50 miles of hiking on various terrain and they still have held up really well. Comfortable, great traction in mud, slippery rocks, and hold up against water really well. I'm a Merrell fan for life now.
"Couldn't be better" 02/26/13
These are great. Got them for Christmas a couple years ago. They are very comfortable. My favorite part is the waterproofing. I can stand in a little stream and as long as the water isn't going over the shoes, it's not getting in. They also still look like new. I can go through some pretty nasty conditions, and I'll walk through a stream or snow or whatever and they'll look like I just pulled them out of the box. I don't see them falling apart or anything soon, but if they do, I will get another pair.
"i don't wear low cut boots often, but when I do, I choose Merell Moab's" 09/11/12
I bought some Asolo Men's Fugitive GTX boots for mountaineering a while back, and as awesome as they are, when you're wearing shorts and hiking with your girlfriend on an easy trail, you don't want to look like an overdressed goober so I bought these. They're great, good arch support, perfect fit (I'm normally a size 10 but I bought an 11 as the 10 was a little tight). They hold up well to water too and don't leave my feet sore even on 10+ mile hikes. I'm only a casual user of these as I'm normally doing more technical hikes with my asolo's for the ankle support but I doubt my review would change even after more extended use of these.
"Great boots" 02/09/12
Used these actually in winter... Did not get cold or anything and feet were completely dry wanted a boot that looked more like a shoe and i found the perfect pair... the Vibram soles are rugged and are a big plus! Awesome shoes
"Ultra comfy" 01/13/12
Being a family that owns many pairs of Merrell hiking shoes I was not surprised how excited my son was when Santa brought him a new pair. After spending our only snowstorm this year camping with the Boy Scouts his old pair were soaked all the way thru. He tells me they are quite comfy and so far his usual dragging of his feet through dew covered grass has not yeilded wet socks. Other than sneakers these are the only shoes on his feet.
"Great fit, quality materials, overall great buy" 11/21/11
I got this boot specifically for some quality hiking in the Appalachians and it has been great for all of the rainy afternoons. It has kept my feet solidly dry for quite some time but the one gripe I *could* possibly have is for a mid-height version.
"Second pair purchased for my hubby. This pair is waterproof!" 10/16/11
Loved the first pair so he decided he wanted a second. durable, good looking and comfortable. This new pair is supposed to be more weather proof for winter. He works outside so needs a good shoe.
