"Amazing hiking/backpacking shoe! Well worth it!" 		          10/07/09
This lightweight shoe is awesome! At first I did not appreciate the lace design, which was my main concern with this shoe, but after I broke them in, the laces worked perfectly and are a great touch for the added ease! I have used these boots all summer, from short hikes to my 11 mi in backpacking trip, and I have to say, they freakin rock! They are extremely light weight and are great if you are like me and don't like your feet getting hot. They are very breathable, as the picture exposes, but also have a low profile, covering the minimal to allow great maneuverability. I just wish they were water proof, but that would reduce the breathe. Plus they dry quickly.

I love the feel i get from these shoes when hiking, trail running, and walking on campus, they are extremely comfortable, and very breathable. They keep my feet cool on a hot summer day, and provide enough stability to still run. My favorite outdoor footwear.

I wear these to work everyday and stand on concrete all day. Suprisingly, my feet do not ache at the end of the day and I can still go for a run. Very happy with the reviews from other people.

"Durable, Dries Fast, and Feels Great" 		          09/08/09
I walk and run a lot. If something gets in my way, I tend to climb over it or go through it. Water, Snow, Rocks, Trees. Nothing stops me. Until my shoes fall apart. I've had these shoes for a little over a year now, and they're just starting to fall apart. These shoes dry extremely fast. I wore them in a slight drizzle for several hours (shoes were soaked). I set up camp and went to sleep. They were completely dry by morning. Imagine putting on a pair of Smartwool for the first time. It feels sorta like that each time you put these shoes on. So, if you're looking for a shoe that feels great, lasts a long time, and dries quickly... you just found it :) I'm looking to get my next pair soon.

"fall on your butt slippery" 		          07/31/09
I was excited to get my shoes a whole week earlier than the shipping date. I got them early enough to take them on a quick little camping trip. They fit great and are lightweight which I love, but the "amazing grips" are not so amazing. After getting any small amounts of water on them they became very slippery. I must have fell three different times, the second of which landed me in a creek. Luckily the water was cool and refreshing, since I had no desire to be in it, that was a nice treat.

"The absolute best shoe out there!" 		          04/11/09
I received a pair of these shoes a while back and they have become my everyday shoe! Originally I used them for walking and jogging, but after they were broken in I started using them for summit hikes. Since they don't offer substantial ankle support, they allow you to jog up/down summit's very well! The insole is very soft and comfortable, and with it paired with its hard rubber sole (Vibram I think they call it), you do not feel the rocks under your feet! I've worn them while riding my motorcycle and they have excellent grip on pavement. So in conclusion, get a pair! Moosejaw has the lowest price I've found.

I try on Merrells whenever I see them in my range of size. It seems that only about every 3 years do I find a pair that I love how they feel right off the bat. I've learned to never skimp when this occurs, and this pair has proven to be no different. Quite likely they're my favorite pair of Merrells I've ever owned.

"Ties are optional" 		          03/10/09
I wear my Chameleon's to work where "business casual" doesn't mean 'it's okay to wear Merrell Chameleons'. Luckily, I have 2 pair so it keeps 'em guessing! Great, true fit. "Foot-glove" is an accurate description of how these shoes treat your feet. Soles grip, making walking in all types of weather safer. "Moisture-wicking" works. Great shoe all day long.

Great for a light hike or just walking around the campsite when you want to ditch your heavier boots. Sole offers good traction - dry and wet. Elastic laces make for a snug comfortable fit.

I got these for a trip to Colorado and some light to moderate hiking and they've turned into my favorite outdoor shoes. They expand and hug your foot while provide great support and are the most comfortable hiking shoes I've owned. Even after hours on the trails my feet felt great.
