"The women's Marmot Precip is a grade-a rain jacket if there ever was one. The hood is big enough so that you can really pull it down and keep the rain out of your eyes. The pit zips come in handy for ventilation more than you think they will, too. I'm no badass, so I wear mine more as a casual rain jacket, and not only does it keep me supremely dry, it's also pretty cute. I also invented an Elvis sighting drinking game in this jacket. So, it for sure fosters creativity."

"This is a great coat for Boston weather and perfect for layering." 05/13/13
I ordered this coat in April and wore it non-stop for those warm but wet days. I plan to take it with me to the Berkshire this summer to weather the July and August rain storms, and then bring it back to Boston for the windy fall. It's light and perfect for humid sticky days, but can be worn over a sweatshirt or Patagonia better sweater (my favorite) for colder, biting days by the harbor or in the mountains. I got the bright green and love the color.
"Not a full review but a comment on sizing." 05/01/13
Just gave this to my girlfriend as a birthday gift. She likes the color and style but it was to big. She normally falls between a small or medium. Someone had mentioned in the reviews that this jacket runs small. I would have to disagree as the medium on her was to long in the waist and sleeves along with being to baggy. She is 5'7" and 135lbs.Hope this helps others when trying to decide on sizing. Returning the medium for a small.
"They used to be better." 03/06/13
This jacket will definitely keep you dry if you ever happen to find yourself in a torrential downpour. I used to have one in green before it got swiped but upgraded to eggshell recently. The green one seemed more flexible and less crunchy when I moved but they both serve the same purpose.
"The Rain-X of rain jackets" 02/05/13
If you're looking for a jacket to survive the worst rain storms, this is the jacket for you. My first experience with this jacket, I had to pack up my entire camp site in the pouring down rain. Kept me completely dry, absolutely no complaints. Have used it several times since in bad rain and has never let me down. Is dry enough to keep your cell phone on the inside of the jacket and the rain won't touch it. I am 5'6", 120lb and ordered the XS; fits perfect.
"Functional & Compact" 10/02/12
I bought this rain coat so that I'd have something breathable and waterproof. Does the job great! The fact that it folds up into itself really comes in handy if I'm not sure what the weather's going to be like. Also, since I bought it on MooseJaw I paid roughly half of what my boyfriend spent on his - win.
"BUY IT" 08/13/12
Completely recommend this product. The pit vents help keep you cool, so you're not baking in what feels like a sweat suit. The colors are great. My favorite part by far is the weight of the jacket, however. I was looking for something that I could shove in a day pack for overnight trips and not have it be so heavy that I even consider just "man-ing it out" and getting wet. You don't even notice it in your pack. Good coverage on the hood, arms are a good length too. I'm 5'10'', 130 lbs and got the medium. It leaves the perfect amount of room to layer, while still leaving my wrists covered and figure looking ready for the Miss Mountain-America pageant. Kudos, Marmot.
"Versatile, LIGHT, Keeps you dry!" 07/30/12
I bought this after looking for something I could stash easily in a backpack and not worry about the extra weight while hiking. The temperature fluctuates quite a bit where I live, which made the ability to layer underneath good for the cold days, and the pit vents good for the warm days. The flattering cut and the weight was a huge plus. So lightweight that you really don't feel like you're wearing anything, which translates over to pack weight. Also, I saw this jacket at another popular outdoors store for $30 more! Overall, I would absolutely recommend this jacket.
"The Perfect Rain Jacket!" 07/24/12
I bought this rain jacket in the turtle dove color a little over a year ago and I absolutely love it! It fits really well, looks great, and most importantly, is super comfortable. This jacket has gotten me through monsoon-level storms dry and happy. I highly recommend it!
"Love this jacket. Fantastic for Rainy Pennsylvania." 07/18/12
I live in rainy western Pennsylvania for 9 months of the year. This rain jacket has gotten me through several torrential downpours. While others struggle with their umbrellas and clog up sidewalks I strut with confidence and am completely dry. The elastic on the hood is a nice addition to keep your hair dry when the big gusts of winds come. I also have rather thick long curly hair and this jacket fits it all nicely. One of the great parts is Marmots service warranty so I know that if it ever rips or tears I can get it fixed easily.
