"Worth the investment! Sassy and DURABLE."  03/01/12

As a fashionable and hardcore recreater,I need my gear to live up to high expectations (and altitude), but also be ahead of the fashion curve at my environmental college! I haven't had any issues with down coming out like I have with previous, cheaper buys. It's a bit of a stretch for a college budget, but ABSOLUTELY worth it. It has room to layer, but it isn't necessary unless it gets belows 20 (depending on your cold-tolerance).It fits pretty true to size, (although I'm sort of a giant, at 5'11", so I don't have much to go by).Why are you still reading this? Hit "add to cart" so you're that much closer to getting outside and living the dream!!!!!!

"Super comfy jacket!"  01/29/12

I thought this jackets would have a little more down but it is actually a warm jacket. It has worked great in 20-30 degree weather. Another plus is that it can be a great travel jacket...i had it stuffed into a small section of my carry on bag. The teal/jade color looks great and i've had many complements. I ordered a xs and fits perfect (could be a little longer in the arms) I am 5'3" 110lbs. You wont be disappointed with this jacket!!!

"Warm and stylish"  01/08/12

This jacket is warm, light and packs down small. I use it year round and I never go backpacking in the mountains without it. I have gotten lots of compliments when wearing it around town too!

"Really Warm Jacket, and Good Looking Too!!"  01/04/12

I bought this jacket for my wife for Christmas, I was so excited about it I gave it to my wife a week early. She hasn't taken it off since. It keeps the wind out and the warmth in. Also, it has shed a single feather. Bottom line: Couldn't have asked for a better jacket.

"super warm and comfortable!"  12/26/11

This jacket is very warm, flattering, and light weight! I'm 5'10'' and usually a size 8. It fits snug, but I can fit a t-shirt and fleece (like an R3) underneath comfortably. There isn't much give/stretch anywhere, so if I were any bigger it would be hard to zip at the hips. It's an awesome jacket though!!!

"Essential Lightweight Warmth"  12/14/11

I bought this jacket as an alternative to my long down coat & short poly ski jacket. I'm pretty narrow, but 5'10," so finding a good fit can be rough. The torso length and width of the S is perfect and I'd go for the 5-star rating if the arms were just a bit longer. ...or, offered in tall. But with gloves or the deep pockets, the wrist-bone length isn't a deal breaker. I get cold easily and find it's great over a base layer on fall days or under a leather coat on winter days. Plus, I'm super excited to use it while backpacking - the best warmth to weight ratio I've owned.

"Awesome jacket!"  11/05/11

I bought this jacket in Gargoyle and love the color. It is super thin which is what I was looking for since I hate those giant puffy coats! I bought a medium and ended up returning it and getting a large because the medium would have felt a bit tight with layers underneath. Another reviewer thought the sizes ran a bit small so I would agree. I guess its meant to be a slim fit but when I'm out in the snow, I need layers! Overall, love it!

"You've got to have it!"  10/14/11

I have been looking for the perfect lightweight down coat, and I've finally found it. The body is fitted and long (I loved the patagonia down sweater - but it is too short in the body for me!), and the arms are a decent length too! I purchased the black (I know, I know, a little boring - but it goes with everything)! This fits perfectly underneath the Marmot precip coat - which together they have become the perfect package for cold, rainy weather.I have the Marmot Venus vest on order, and will be back soon with a review on that. Hopefully it lives up to my other Marmot products, which I'm sure it does!

"Great all-around down jacket!"  10/03/11

I purchased this jacket last spring, and have never been happier with a down jacket! I have used it on climbing and backpacking trips, and it is the PERFECT weight. I usually try to layer it with a base layer or some sort of fleece underneath, and I stay very warm. The fit is so great, and you really can't beat the performance.

"Warmth without the Weight!"  10/01/11

Perfect ultralight jacket!! I got this jacket for a trip to D.C. to go museum hopping and it blocked out the wind and cold great! Inside the museums I could pack it down in my bag with no bulk or hassle. Pockets zip up and there's a nice, 7-8" deep inside pocket to stash your goods. Sprayed it down with waterproofing to give it extra water resistance. I'm 5'5, 130 lb. and got the Medium. Could have got the Small but was concerned about fitting sweater and hoodies in the sleeves. This jacket has phenomenal movement in the arms without riding up and exposing the torso. Marmot calls this feature Angel-Wing movement and it's a huge plus. Will buy this jacket again.

"Perfect"  09/28/11

I've been looking for the perfect light weight down jacket, and I've finally found it. It's the perfect fit - great length in the arms and body, with a slim fit. Fits perfectly under my Marmot Precip rain jacket, and this combination will be perfect for chilly, rainy days. Can't wait to purchase the vest...
