"really really great" 09/12/11
i went to geology field camp this past summer in montana, and used this sleeping bag as a comforter when we stayed in the dorms, and a regular sleeping bag when we camped at places like grand teton national park and glacier national park. in mid-june it would snow in the middle of the night and this bag was so warm that i didn't even need to put all of my clothes on to sleep comfortably. it was also easy to shove back into the stuff sack that marmot provides. while at field camp, we were constantly having to pack, unpack, and repack, and load, unload, and reload all of our belongings in trailers and the stuff sack kept it clean and compact so it traveled really well.
"Terrific Buy" 07/16/11
I've used this sleeping bag for years, and I love it. It's warm, comfortable, and light. The pocket on the inside is incredibly useful for a headlamp. My only issue with it is that it doesn't pack particularly small. It's not huge, but not tiny either. If you're on the taller side, I would recommend the men's version, as it is longer.
"Toasty and" 05/21/11
It hasn't yet been used it 30° temperatures, but in early spring with a pad its been plenty warm—if not too warm. The second zipper toward the feet end work great for adjusting temperature. Feels noisy crawling in and shifting around at night . Super roomy and comfy. Zips together with Men's Trestles 30° bag.
"warm, inexpensive, lightweight - can you beat that?" 02/26/11
I went through a long and deliberating (bordering on obsessive) process when deciding what bag to buy...and finally decided on this one.My three highest qualifying factors for a sleeping bag were:1)warmth2)low weight3)affordable priceThis bag wins the prize for the best combination of all three of the above qualities.Regret: I'm 5'6" and 120 pounds - the smaller size fits me just fine but I wish I would have ordered the larger size for a bit of extra foot space at the end.
