SPECIFICATIONS of the Marmot Women's Skyline Insulated Pant
I was ALWAYS cold with my old uninsulated pants. On top of being uninsulated, their waterproof coating wore out. This resulted in my butt freezing every day of skiing. The first time I wore these pants was a revelation. My butt has never been so warm and dry! In fact for warmer days they are too warm if combined with an insulated jacket (but perfect with just a shell on top). One thing that must be said is that the bottoms don't flare at all, so they are missing the little extra swag that you get when your pants are more baggy. But they fit true to size. Other than silly cosmetics, they are the best thing that has ever happened to my butt!
I took these for their first test drive today and they kept me really warm in 15 degree weather! I originally ordered a small, but went to a medium to allow for layering (I am 5' 7" and 125lbs) and they fit great and are nice and long.
although these pants feel as though they would be warmer than the northface ones i decided to keep the reason why i decided to return them is because the black looked really faded (almost like a dark charcoal gray) and the material of these pants seems to pick up an excessive amount of lint.
