Marmot Thermal R

Marmot Thermal R
Marmot Thermal R is an ultra-warm synthetic insulation for cold weather activities. Comprised of multi-channel and hollow fibers, it maximizes warmth while minimizing internal condensation and moisture. The hollow fibers are lofty and light for an excellent warmth to weight ratio. "Lofty and Light" would be a terrible name for a crime-fighting duo.

Marmot DriClime

Marmot DriClime
Marmot DriClime is a mesh composed of two different denier yarns which work together to maximize breathability, prevent condensation and wick moisture. This means you can be as active as you want in the outdoors and remain dry and comfortable. Do you ever think, "I wish I were all wet and gross"? I didn't think so. Dry and comfortable all the way.

Marmot MemBrain

Marmot MemBrain
Marmot MemBrain fabrics utilize a polyurethane laminate that perfectly balances performance for anything nature can throw at you. Waterproof, breathable and durable. That's what we call the trifecta. If I were more clever I'd call it the dry-fecta, but I'm not. Anyways, the external protection coupled with minimal internal condensation adds up to pure comfort.

GORE-TEX XCR

GORE-TEX XCR
GORE-TEX Gloves engineered with XCR technology offer maximum comfort in a wide range of temperatures, even at high activity levels. They provide the perfect mix of warmth and breathability. This makes them ideal for snowsports or for some incredibly technical sidewalk shovelling.

GORE-TEX

GORE-TEX
If you haven't heard of GORE-TEX by now, you've probably been living under a rock. And that would make sense, because living under a rock is probably the only place where you wouldn't need the durable waterproof and windproof protection that GORE-TEX fabrics offer. So when you're ready to venture out from under your rock, arm yourself with the comfortable protection of GORE-TEX.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So comfortable Had a case of frost-bite while stationed in Berlin Germany in 1971. When the temperature goes down my hands turn bitterly cold no matter what gloves I wear. Forty-three years later I decide to take a chance on yet another pair of gloves in hopes of being able to go out when it's cold without my hands going burning cold. Imagine my surprise and delight finding myself trekking down a hike trial over 10 ft. above sea level in 38 degree weather with warm fingers. They actually work! I would have given them 5 stars but being a stickler for detail I must note the stitching on one of the fingers is contorted. Strictly a cosmetic defect and in no way affects the fit or comfort of the gloves. I AM ISTATIC!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong value with a minor quibble I'm three months in with hard use on these in a MN. winter. So far, so good. These are very well made with excellent seams, rugged fabric, and surprisingly durable palms. The waterproof ness (?) is superb, and the soft nose-wipe on the thumb back is a decadent luxury. My only gripe is the fit. I don't have big hands, or sausage fingers, but I do have long hands. I bought the XXL and the fit is acceptable, but a bit snug. I realize Marmot walks a fine line between utility and bulk, and, yes, I could have bought mittens for ultimate warmth, but glove warmth is as much a function of " dead air" space and "wiggle room" as it is of materials and insulation quality. If these were just a little bit roomier they'd be significantly warmer. They are, still, a solid product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Changed Design? I absolutely LOVE my Randonnee gloves, which I have owned since 2010. They've been my go-to-gloves for February hikes up Mt Lafayette, weekend-long backpacking trips in arctic conditions, snowshoeing, and more. They allow superior dexterity while keeping my hands SUPER warm. Unfortunately, last backpacking trip, they got too close to the fire, so I had to buy a new pair. They arrived yesterday, and I've DEVASTATED to discover that my fingers hardly fit into them! Has Marmot redesigned the stitching, particularly in the fingers? While the length seems the same, the fingers in the new gloves are much more restrictive. Compared side to side, it seems the material stitched into the palm side of the fingers is more narrow and tapered than in previous models (see photo for comparison). I would get a larger pair, but doing that would mean longer fingers. What a disappointment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect gloves I bought these as a Christmas present for my son-in-law. He used them during our post-Christmas ski trip to Winter Park, CO. Despite sub-zero temps and wind chills, they kept his fingers nice and toasty! Great gloves. Worth the money. This was the only site where I could find size XXL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Glove out there!! I own a ski and snowboard shop and have access to every major glove brand on the market!! Marmot simply makes the best gloves. I have been wearing the Randonnee for over 15 years! Super warm and waterproof, there isn't a better glove out there for $100!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Randonnee gloves Great gloves. No complaints, they're warm, comfortable, and we'll built.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs a bit small warmer than most My hands and feet get really COLD really FAST, so even when it usually doesn't go below 20F (and according to the Weather Channel feels like 1F brrrr!) I decided to invest in a good pair of gloves so scraping the car and just walking around wouldn't be painful. These did the job much better than previous purchases but felt not as warm as I wished. I'm outdoorsy and I want my warmth! I always wear S with Marmot gloves (XS with NorthFace and Nike). I got S and fit too snugly so if you are between sizes go a size up. I'm giving three and not four stars because for almost 100 bucks I was expecting more warmth, maybe order a size up and use lining (?)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been skiing for over 40 years and these are my favorite gloves ever I have had a pair of Randonnee gloves for over 6 years and my hands stay warm even in the coldest conditions. I have used these gloves in -30 windchill conditions with hand warmers and they were adequate. I would highly recommend these gloves. Recently purchased a pair for my 20 year old daughter because she constantly pleaded to trade gloves with me.
