Absolutely PERFECTI've been a fan of Marmot's M1-M3 series of pants for awhile. The stretch when you bend which total frees movements. If they get caught while bush wacking the stretch reminds you to free yourself rather than bring you to a sudden halt. The zippered pockets prevent loss of items and it is very easy to get in the lower R thigh pocket while seated in the car. They repel light moisture and dry quickly. These are the most comfortable, well fitting, functional pants I have ever owned. I have 3 pairs now.

Best summer pants so far!!So I bought the PCT pants a few months ago. I wear them every time I go hiking, which is every weekend. I only bought one pair, not knowing if I would like the light weight material and if they could stand up to the Pacific Northwest weather. Let's just say I will be buying another pair ;) only thing I do wish that they had some more color options. Thank you Marmot, you have a customer for life!!!!

My new favorite pantsThey are so extremely comfortable. I'm guessing these will be my new go-to pants for globe travel. Very light and I really like that all the pockets are zippered.
I'll be at the Grand Canyon in August and I prefer a long pant to keep the sun and insects off. Would these pants be too hot?

Hiya, thanks for your question! This pant is a good option. It is a lightweight soft shell that keeps you cool when you are hot and warm when you are cold. If you need a pant with UV protection and more versatility, the Marmot Women's Lobo's Convertible Pant is another good choice.
