The Marmot Women's Montreal Coat is a down coat for exploring winter cities. The Montreal uses 700 fill down that has been treated with Down Defender for moisture resistance. The high power down keeps the jacket lightweight, without sacrificing warmth. The interior is lined with fleece for cozy softness against the body with micro fleece internal cuffs to deter pesky drafts from being sent up your arms. Slip your hands into the lined side pockets for even more toasty micro fleece to turn up the heat. The outside pockets, as well as one of the interior pockets, zip shut to prevent wallet, keys, or your gloves from making a trip into a puddle of slush. Cover the tops of your legs (tush, butt, posterior, ect) with this mid-length coat for a winter without the chills.

DWR tech

Durable Water Repellant
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Marmot Down Defender

Marmot Down Defender
Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping when exposed to water or moisture. This allows it to keep its loft, which equates to greater insulation. Nothing will stop the specially treated, highly water-resistant down from trapping warm air next to your body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hood won't fly off and is a great ear muff I've had this coat about three weeks now and we've already experience below zero wind chill and this coat is wicked warm!  BEST COAT I've ever owned.  You actually experience warmth with this down coat compared to some others and the length is perfect.  The hood is snug fitting so it won't fly off your head in windy weather and snug enough you can put half way down to act as an ear muff.  Perfect for me since I hate to wear hats.  The added fleece lining inside and in your arms stops the chill!  This is going to keep me warm all winter!  Next year a new color!!!  Perfect. Thanks Marmot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love! I had planned on buying this coat in dark steel for myself this Christmas but was shocked when I realized it had already sold out everywhere in the size small! Luckily, I was able to find it in black, which is a close second to the dark steel I wanted, and was fortunate enough to get the last one in stock. It arrived the Friday before the crazy Winter Vortex we experienced in the Midwest with -40F wind chills and I couldn't be more thankful. Have not had any issues with the wind, even though it doesn't have a wind-resistant exterior shell, and love how warm the huge hood keeps my face and head. Only thing I can complain about is it being too warm and wanting to sport it even when it's not quite cold enough... Thank you, Marmot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely warm, light and attractive coat I purchased this coat 2 weeks ago as we rolled into a Canadian winter - am I glad I did! We have already had some snow and icy winds, and this coat has proven warm as well as offering a surprisingly good degree of wind resistance. As a person who really feels the cold, i feel I have made a good decision with this coat. As well, it looks attractive and not too bulky. I am 5' 5'' and 120lbs; initially I purchased a size S but found it fit a little small across the chest, and returned it for a size M, which is perfect!f

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great coat I like a lot of things about this coat. The fleece lining, the zippers (they're good quality), the insulated hood which fits perfectly around my head, the pockets, and the length (I am 5'1 and this falls about two ins above my knees) What I'm concerned about is the fit. I am 123 lbs and when I have this size Small on, it feels like I have no room to wear a heavier sweater. I most likely will not need a heavy sweater with this because it is feels warm, but one does not know with Canadian winters. I will try to lose weight and see if it will fit better, otherwise I will be returning for a medium and I hope it will be available in this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat for the cold! I had bought this coat over a month ago. I am extremely happy with it. I bought the green colored one and was a little skeptical on the color but it was really nice! It is not a straight coat and has a flare to it to make it look feminine. We live in the Chicago area and I just took a job where I have to work part time outside. I have not been cold yet. This is definetly the warmest coat I have ever owned. I would highly recommend it! Since then I have purchased 2 more Marmot coats for my family and all have been warm and have a nice quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I adore this coat This coat is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I choose it over other brands. I relocated to Astana (2nd coldest capital city in the world!! Brrr - I must be mad!) where the winter lasts for 5-6 months and temperatures range from -10 to -45 everyday during these months (!) This coat has not once let me down. So warm, stylish and light. I love it and I am wondering if I can convince the hubby to let me buy one in another colour for next winter! Worth ever penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy and Warm I bought this jack about month ago for Christmas for my girlfriend. Ever since then she can't stop wearing it. She is always telling me how warm it is on these cold winter days. The jacket has shed very little down, if any, since she has had the jack. Only time will tell about the durability of the jacket, but I don't for see any issues after getting a hands of feel of the quality material used to make it. She is about 5'5'' and 130 lbs and the medium fits her perfectly. Soon after purchasing this jack my sister bought one too! And I have only heard good things from her about the jack as well. If you are looking for a stylish warm parka, look now farther!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, Comfy, Cute I just recently moved from an island to the mountains so I have been searching high and low for a warm coat to compensate for my complete lack of cold tolerance. Thankfully, this one fits the bill perfectly! I am 5"8 and 115lbs and I ordered the S in black. There is plenty of room for a sweater underneath and the cut of the coat does not compromise mobility in any area. I am so excited that the hood/fur are both removable because this feature allows for more versatility to wear it in a variety of settings. Thank you so much for making such a cute and functional coat Marmot!

I just bought my quebec coat today.i notice a little shedding already .what will o do to stop this

Asked by: Memords
Hiya Memords, thanks for your question! I'm sorry you are having this issue, however, it is totally common.... most down jackets will shed or lose feathers at some point. The most important thing is to not pull the feathers out. The holes can become larger which will cause more and more feathers to shed. We suggest that you try to push them back inside the jacket instead. Another suggestion is to put your jacket into the dryer and run the no-heat fluff cycle for about 15 minutes. When the jacket is worn, the feathers compress and flatten making them easier to fit through the fabric. If you fluff your feathers they will fatten up and have a more difficult time fitting through the fabric. Lastly, if the coat is new and the problem is excessive, you can return it. Hope this helps!

A friend of mine is 5'2" tall with 143 lb. Living in Toronto. What size of this product do you recommend?

Asked by: Toronto
Hiya, thanks for the question! Your friend would probably be comfortable in a size medium. By the way, there is a link to a helpful size chart located in the lower left corner of the drop down size menu. Hope this helps!
