Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the Cadillac of Winter Puffy Coats Do you live in a cold part of the world, where snow falls with reckless abandon and the wind alone can pick you up or knock you over? Then you need this coat. This coat isn't cheap, but I promise it will be a fantastic investment you won't regret. Why? Because a) it's warm. Like really warm. b)the hood is adjustable, so it stays put in wind c)it can handle that dreadful "wintery mix" that we get d) It's got inside pockets (I'm a sucker for inside pockets) and e) it weighs next to nothing. FYI, I'm 5'2", on the petite side, and a small fits perfectly. I can fit a sweater underneath and don't feel like a sausage. Also, despite being sleeping-bag-like, it actually makes you look pretty nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hood won't fly off and is a great ear muff I've had this coat about three weeks now and we've already experience below zero wind chill and this coat is wicked warm!  BEST COAT I've ever owned.  You actually experience warmth with this down coat compared to some others and the length is perfect.  The hood is snug fitting so it won't fly off your head in windy weather and snug enough you can put half way down to act as an ear muff.  Perfect for me since I hate to wear hats.  The added fleece lining inside and in your arms stops the chill!  This is going to keep me warm all winter!  Next year a new color!!!  Perfect. Thanks Marmot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, Comfy, Cute I just recently moved from an island to the mountains so I have been searching high and low for a warm coat to compensate for my complete lack of cold tolerance. Thankfully, this one fits the bill perfectly! I am 5"8 and 115lbs and I ordered the S in black. There is plenty of room for a sweater underneath and the cut of the coat does not compromise mobility in any area. I am so excited that the hood/fur are both removable because this feature allows for more versatility to wear it in a variety of settings. Thank you so much for making such a cute and functional coat Marmot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love! I had planned on buying this coat in dark steel for myself this Christmas but was shocked when I realized it had already sold out everywhere in the size small! Luckily, I was able to find it in black, which is a close second to the dark steel I wanted, and was fortunate enough to get the last one in stock. It arrived the Friday before the crazy Winter Vortex we experienced in the Midwest with -40F wind chills and I couldn't be more thankful. Have not had any issues with the wind, even though it doesn't have a wind-resistant exterior shell, and love how warm the huge hood keeps my face and head. Only thing I can complain about is it being too warm and wanting to sport it even when it's not quite cold enough... Thank you, Marmot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best cold-weather apparel purchase in years I bought this last year and highly recommend it if you live in a cold, windy or damp climate or if you get cold easily. The length is just perfect for adding warmth to your core without being too cumbersome. I live in central WI and last year's winter was brutal. This year not as bad but I was sure glad to have coat for the below zero temps we did have. Oddly enough - you don't overheat though. Hands' down - best thing I've bought in past couple of years. The faux fur around the hood really helps keep the cold air out too - I never would have believed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat for the cold! I had bought this coat over a month ago. I am extremely happy with it. I bought the green colored one and was a little skeptical on the color but it was really nice! It is not a straight coat and has a flare to it to make it look feminine. We live in the Chicago area and I just took a job where I have to work part time outside. I have not been cold yet. This is definetly the warmest coat I have ever owned. I would highly recommend it! Since then I have purchased 2 more Marmot coats for my family and all have been warm and have a nice quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! This jacket is so cute, I love the style of it. That is the main reason I got it. Secondly, I got it for the quality and warmth of it. I now walk to work from the light rail station, and sometimes the mornings get into the negative temperatures. This coat keeps me so warm! And the size Large is roomy enough for me to wear layers underneath if necessary. I also wore it to my company Christmas party with only a cocktail dress underneath, and I was still very warm, and very stylish! I love this jacket. On a side note, Marmot's customer service is excellent, I ordered a Medium and a Large because I wasn't sure which size to get, and their customer support was excellent. They sent me a prepaid shipping label to return the size that didn't fit. Thank you Marmot!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Coat! The Chicago winters can be very unpredictable. It can be 17 below one day and 35 degrees the next. My previous coat was not keeping me warm any longer so I started my search for a good coat for the winter. I purchased the Marmot coat based on some strong recommendations. I think it is a well made coat and that it can keep you warm as long as you have the right clothing on underneath. It is not the coat to wear with only a t-shirt underneath. Overall, I am happy with the coat, it fits well, and it is very comfortable.

What is the difference between this style and ? They look the same to me. Is there a difference in the down?

Asked by: Diana
Hiya, thanks for your question! It is the same jacket, just a discontinued version. There is no difference. Sorry for the confusion!
