Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hood won't fly off and is a great ear muff I've had this coat about three weeks now and we've already experience below zero wind chill and this coat is wicked warm!  BEST COAT I've ever owned.  You actually experience warmth with this down coat compared to some others and the length is perfect.  The hood is snug fitting so it won't fly off your head in windy weather and snug enough you can put half way down to act as an ear muff.  Perfect for me since I hate to wear hats.  The added fleece lining inside and in your arms stops the chill!  This is going to keep me warm all winter!  Next year a new color!!!  Perfect. Thanks Marmot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love! I had planned on buying this coat in dark steel for myself this Christmas but was shocked when I realized it had already sold out everywhere in the size small! Luckily, I was able to find it in black, which is a close second to the dark steel I wanted, and was fortunate enough to get the last one in stock. It arrived the Friday before the crazy Winter Vortex we experienced in the Midwest with -40F wind chills and I couldn't be more thankful. Have not had any issues with the wind, even though it doesn't have a wind-resistant exterior shell, and love how warm the huge hood keeps my face and head. Only thing I can complain about is it being too warm and wanting to sport it even when it's not quite cold enough... Thank you, Marmot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat for the cold! I had bought this coat over a month ago. I am extremely happy with it. I bought the green colored one and was a little skeptical on the color but it was really nice! It is not a straight coat and has a flare to it to make it look feminine. We live in the Chicago area and I just took a job where I have to work part time outside. I have not been cold yet. This is definetly the warmest coat I have ever owned. I would highly recommend it! Since then I have purchased 2 more Marmot coats for my family and all have been warm and have a nice quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Coat! The Chicago winters can be very unpredictable. It can be 17 below one day and 35 degrees the next. My previous coat was not keeping me warm any longer so I started my search for a good coat for the winter. I purchased the Marmot coat based on some strong recommendations. I think it is a well made coat and that it can keep you warm as long as you have the right clothing on underneath. It is not the coat to wear with only a t-shirt underneath. Overall, I am happy with the coat, it fits well, and it is very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely warm, light and attractive coat I purchased this coat 2 weeks ago as we rolled into a Canadian winter - am I glad I did! We have already had some snow and icy winds, and this coat has proven warm as well as offering a surprisingly good degree of wind resistance. As a person who really feels the cold, i feel I have made a good decision with this coat. As well, it looks attractive and not too bulky. I am 5' 5'' and 120lbs; initially I purchased a size S but found it fit a little small across the chest, and returned it for a size M, which is perfect!f

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I adore this coat This coat is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I choose it over other brands. I relocated to Astana (2nd coldest capital city in the world!! Brrr - I must be mad!) where the winter lasts for 5-6 months and temperatures range from -10 to -45 everyday during these months (!) This coat has not once let me down. So warm, stylish and light. I love it and I am wondering if I can convince the hubby to let me buy one in another colour for next winter! Worth ever penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and toasty! I've only worn this coat a handful of times since I got it a few weeks ago. Today our high temperature was 16 degrees with a wind chill of zero. This coat was amazingly warm and blocked the wind better than I had anticipated.  I also like the fact that it's not bulky when I'm driving. Well worth the money!  Now I just need some gloves to match! Thanks Marmot for making such high quality products! Barb Price Washington, Illinois

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best and Warmest Coat! I bought this coat on 1/4/15, and I live in NH, and it is extremely cold.  Right now it is -13º with wind chill, and this coat really keeps you warm.  I originally bought the ms metro long North Face and returned it the next day for the Marmot Montreal.   So glad I did!  By far warmest coat I have ever owned,  and it is a very attractive coat.  Very nicely fitted and so lightweight!  Excellent coat and so worth the money!
