"Would wear everywhere and will." 03/04/13
This jacket is warm, rain proof, wind proof. It's cute (I have the purple) and a great piece. the only thing is the neck is cold in the wind without a hood. I bought it that way since my primaloft layer has a hood. Definitely a great purchase for New England winter ice and mountain climbing!
"Perfect lightweight down!" 12/30/12
I love this jacket! I wear it as a mid layer for snowboarding, around campus on it's own, and wear it between climbs on cold days. This jacket warms up really quick, is light weight, compresses for easy packing, has great bright colors, is surprisingly wind and rip resistent (I've worn it climbing granite during the winter and it surprisingly has not ripped yet), and is fairly inexpensive for the quality. Also, the zippers on the pockets are a great touch for keeping goods safe. The only thing not 100% awesome about this jacket is that the pockets are unlined, so they can be cold when you first put your hands in. But that is so minor.
"Warm, light and bright" 11/04/12
I got a medium and its a nice fit, Im 5’5”/155lbs. There’s room for base layer and fleece under it. The arms are a good length, the elastic round the wrist keeps drafts out. There is also an elastic pull cord round the waste to keep drafts out the bottom jacket, but I dont find this a problem as the body is long enough. The pockets an ok size, but not that big, my large gloves don’t fit. Also an inside pocket which holds glasses. The jacket is surprising warm for something so light and thin. I dont use it day-to-day, only hiking or camping. It fits nicely into weekend or week backpack and I didnt think I would go anywhere without it. I went for yellow and love it, though I admit its bright.
