"Great Softshell!" 04/12/13
I LOVE it!!! I lived in northern KY and now live in Portland, OR. It has kept me warm in both climates without feeling bulky. It also repels water pretty well. My only issue with it is that I ordered a black one and it looks more bluish-grey. Not too big of a deal as it's still a nice color. I would definitely recommend getting this jacket!!
"Great San Francisco Softshell" 02/02/13
XS, Black, worn daily 5 months:I am an avid rock climber and aspiring mountaineer. I am 5’0’’, 110 lbs., 34C, 27.5’’ waist, 15.5’’ torso, 35’’ bust, 35.5’’ hips. This jacket is the perfect length for a city jacket for a petite woman – shorter, not like an Arc’teryx jacket. I can reasonably fit a Patagonia Nanopuff/thin fleece layer under the Gravity. I wish it were slightly slimmer for city use. Angel-wing arms work well. The sleeves are slightly too long for me, but the cuff closures are excellent. This softshell is very warm. I would not use it for vigorous outdoor activity unless wind-chill were below zero or so. It is sleek and passable in a low-key work environment or for the city.
"Great, warm jacket" 10/11/11
This is a great, warm jacket that makes winter and cold weather seem easier. It's great in snow and rain as it is doesn't get soaked through and easily repels water. It's warm, so warm that on many a cold day, people have asked if I am really warm enough in just this...and I usually am (and I have awful circulation, so that's praise indeed!)My only complaint is that I wish it were snugglier inside--the fleece lining is soft, but not cosy and cuddly...then again, maybe I'm being picky! If it keeps me so warm, is snuggliness as important?
"Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy." 12/08/10
I love this jacket! I got really excited when the first cool day of Fall hit and I got to wear it. It's awesome for long backpacking trips or trips to your mailbox. It'll hold its own in light rain, but anything heavy will eventually soak through. The fleece inside is extremely soft. Layering it under a poofy down coat in very cold weather is pretty darn cozy. The only small issue that I have with it is that I wish it was a little longer (I might just have an abnormally long torso), but other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs, and the medium fits great.
"great jacket" 10/08/10
this is a great jacket, but I had to return it. First the fit was not good for my 5'2" frame. I have three Marmot jackets all in a medium and they fit great. This one did not. The fit was too long. Secondly the color was not at all as shown. The real color is a much brighter green than as pictured. While the color was not bad, it was not what I expected.
"Love it!" 10/02/10
So I've always loved marmot stuff (it's especially fun if you know what a marmot actually is) and this jacket is another good reason why! It's really thin material, but it's super warm which basically makes it perfect. Also, the jacket seems kind of wide at the hips, so I can gain a bunch of weight if I want, but until then there is a nifty cinch cord that makes it fit perfectly. Pretty much this is the coolest jacket ever.
